i am a runner who is trying to get into triathlons. i am 34, 5'10" and 142 pounds. i currently lift weights about 3 times a week.

my problem: i want to add a little bit of mass and strength for the swimming portion of the triathlon without adding ANY body fat. it's crucial that i not sacrifice any of my leanness in order to gain strength. in reading through some of the posts i'm thinking that some primoloban might help me to make some of the gains that are so hard for me to make given the amount of aerobic activity/calorie expenditure that i do. i know nothing about taking or even acquiring steroids however, and don't really have any bodybuilder-type friends who can point me in the right direction.

any suggestions?

Well, I'd suggest the two options.

1.) Accept the fact that gains will be damn slow (because you won't be eating enough to gain at a maximum pace) and cycle eq and test.

2.) Accept some fat gains (burn it off after you've bulked up) and do a stronger cycle and eat enough to make serious gains. Bearing in mind that a third of the gains will be fat.

Before thinking about AS, I would analyze the way you train and your diet.

In my experience, 3 times a week isn't getting it done. In fact, that's the minimum amount training one is to do in a weeek. You'll see results, but maybe not to your expectations.

Your diet should be high in protein and very, very clean carbs. No sugars, no candy, no pop. I wouldn't worry about doing any excess cardio in the gym since you are a long-distance runner.

Only add AS as a supplement to your diet and training ONLY after you have mastered those two aspects.

That will keep you from coming back here and asking why this happened and why that, and why you didn't gain anything or why you didn't keep what you gained. We've seen it a thousand times. Learn a little more and do a little research before committing.

Once you get to that point, Winstrol and Equipoise stack should give you what you want. Ganabol-50 is the Mexican version of Equipoise and some like it even better. You might try Deca as well. Everyone is different.

thanks for the help, guys. 3 times a week is all the weightlifting i can fit in due to the running, biking and swimming that i must also concentrate on.

my diet is very low in fat and high in carbohydrates, though perhaps lower in protein than many bodybuilders would recommend.

i guess the reason i'm looking towards AS is 'cuz i really can't afford to divert too much of my training time to weightlifting and was hoping to see some better results...

I wouldn't recommend AS then if you can't properly train your muscles.

All it takes is about 45 to an hour of intense lifting a day/5 days a week. You can do it!!

Hey runner

I was once a collegiate long distance runner and let me tell you reguardless of how much running, swimming, and biking you do, you must make more time for weights.

I wasn't allowed to touch weights for the 1st 2 months I got to college cause they thought I was big. Eventually they realized that my strength was my biggest assest. Running up to 20 miles some days took alot out of me...one of the reasons why I got injured, but the injuries got better once I got in from a long run and started some lifting.

A friend of mine from highschool is trying to make the U.S. olympic team this summer for tri. he's not big by any means, and by my standards fairly week, but he's in the gym everyday lifting after his workouts. and I can see big gains he's made in his contests because of it....

Keep Pumping
