ive got the pins but only old syringes can i use an old barrel how do i clean and sterilize it thanx need to do a shot in the morning IP: Logged |

I run alcohol through it after the injection, then i put it in a clean place and run alcohol through it again before the next injection. i have only done this once though. ------------------ IP: Logged |

You can run it through your dishwasher and it will sterilize it or you can boil it in water. I would run some alcohol through it as well. I would definately discourage reusing the pins though since they will get dull and are more difficult to sterilize. If I were you I would just order some syringes cause an abcess isn't worth the risk. Later, IP: Logged |

Jrock is accurate. you can reuse a syringe by rinsing it with alcohol before and after use. i fill the needle cap then with alcohol and replace it over the pin and put the unit in a baggie. i then rinse it again before reuse. Have done this for 10 years(yes thats right!) and when maintaining sterile conditions have never hade a problem! Pins get dull-replace, plungers go bad-syringe is done... IP: Logged |

Bleech is your best bet. That is what is recomended for people who use IV drugs. Bleech will kill HIV & Hep. Bleech a few times then water to get the bleech out. Be careful.-John IP: Logged |

Ok, Why the hell would you be worried about HIV and Hep if you are reusing the pins on yourself? If you have HIV or Hep, then it's not like you are going to re-give it to yourself. Additionally, it's not like these diseases are going to just magically appear on the damn pins after you pull it out of your ass because you didn't bleach them. Don't get me wrong, I am an advocate of the hygenic use of needles, but use your heads. IP: Logged |
