I have seen previous posts detailing the opinions of many that the anabolic effects of steroids are weakened by the concurrent use of broad-spectrum anti-biotics. I must disagee... Firstly, I have been using either Bactrum or Minomycin (minocycline) throughout most of my adullt life and have still enjoyed gains similar to those discussed regularly on this board. Secondly, THE PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION OF BROAD SPECTRUM ANTI-BIOTICS IS THE REDUCTION OR CESSATION OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS IN THE MICROBIAL ORGANISM ITSELF, NOT THE HOST (HUMANS). If this is the case, surely anti-biotics will not reduce the efficacy of anabolic steroids? Pharmacologists, Mods , Pro's - can you comment? IP: Logged |
