ALOTS OF REST AND NO UPPERBODY LIFTING DO TO TEARING SOMETHING. I HAVE HAD THIS SURGERY AND IT CAN BE PAINFULL AFTER IF YOU DON'T TAKE IT EASY.

your surgeon will advise you on when you should return to the gym. if you return to the gym too soon after surgery you may re-open your incision. wait at least a month for upper body work. your wound will be at 85% of its maximal tensile strength at 21 days post-operatively - don't stress your pecs prior to this.

Hey Manny,

If you are going to have any kind of surgery, you should make sure your immune system is in top shape. It will aid in the healing process dramatically. Try 10grams of Glutamine daily, and split it up into two or three servings. Lots of Vit C also, 3-5grams daily.

I had it done, I was off for 3-4 weeks with no weight training whatsoever. You will loose size but not that bad, your weights will drop a little. I would eat moderatly and take a mild anabolic.
