To give my body a "supershock" so to speak, would it be a good idea to maybe take a week off from training prior to your first cycle of AS? And then really hit it hard once you've started cycling? Common sense tells me that this would be something to try. Any comments????

Im not an expert but i have found that taking a break here and there does jumpstart the growth process. I would be interested if anyone has tried this and what there results were like.. I would even think maybe a two week break would be better.. hmm very interesting..

A week would be ok, but remember you don't want to tak too much time off. You don't want to lose strength and start to atrophy. Atrophy won't start until about three to four weeks.

Thanks guys,
Actually I've heard that atrophy can begin as soon as five days of inactivity, but don't know for sure. I think this does have some merit though.......might give it a try. Appreciate it BROS!!!!!!

Ronnie Colman took like three months off after winning his first Olympia. This article is in a flex one or two months ago I think it was the one on the Weider contest in Rome. Anyway it shocked his body and yes you may be a little weak after taking some time off but it helps you break through plateaus as your body is forced to grow again. I don't recommend 3 months unless your Ronnie colman but a couple of weeks wouldn't hurt.
