I tell you want gets my goat. Doctors. Lets take a biased and broad look at what they do. They fix coughs, colds and sore holes, that is it. They are supposed to be remedial links to the pharaceutical world, meaning they diagnose and translate your drug need to a chemist. This means that if someone comes to them and says, hey doc, I use heroin, they can get scripts to remedy this (blockers etc) Hey doc im a psycho, then they get valium or other psychotic behaiviour changing drugs. Hey Doc, I use Steroids in a sensible way, an well versed in the effects and interactions with the body, I always get my blood monitored and my normal liberal doctor has moved. Then you say something like this to them (I tried this and others, sometimes I tell them and they say what can I do about it, so I had to be rude about it, as you will see) Doc, I am currently in a heavy cycle and Then they look in a mims manual or say sorry cant help you, then I say ok, fine, obviously you will help costs of the cosmetic surgery, to correct what can be prevented now and put me at risk of scarring my body for life, my solicitor will be in touch. off to another doctor I go. and it starts again... although sometimes, the solictor thing gets them to prescribe a few repeats etc. Funny, I use to be so nice to them about it but they are just soo nice back to you when they say no! I guarantee, that 80% of the board members here would know more about pharmachology in they way of interactions within their body and steroid use, than most GP's.

I'm hoping one day to remedy the situation....if all else fails I'll at least have the most "user friendly" PC around. Primo (MD 2002) IP: Logged |
