There is this personal trainer in my gym who named his personal training business Elite Fitness. So my guess is he's on this board and has been for a while or saw it once and stole the name. Either way it's been bothering me to no end. IP: Logged |

sorry my friends, but there are alot of "elitefitness" gyms out there. there has been one near me for at least 12 years, well before george spellwin's elitefitness. although nothing against him. IP: Logged |

rich, it's actually a trademark violation and not copyright. And if the guy was there first he wins. It all goes by who put the name in commerce first. But 2 (or more) people can have the same name for their business if they stay in separate geographic areas and one doesn't venture into the other. So GS may not be able to sue if this other guy only has a gym. Now if he opens a website that's a different story, .... Shit, sorry guys, I got carried away.....
