Well I used to do flat bench, flat dumbbells and incline bench. Today I changed it to cover incline bench, incline dumbbells, flat dumbbells....was this a good move?

as well as machine stuff.

I recon that any change that is going to shock your system into growth is a good move providing you make changes with compound exercises that are good for growth.

I frequently change barbells to dumbells & incline to flat and I have benefitted greatly from it!

also try decline press - it works great for me but I combine all of positions of the bench in my workouts. I like to do top mid and lower chest in the same workout

Just like anything, your body becomes adjusted to repetition and will cease to grow, so I say mix it up, I change workouts every three weeks. I just constantly rotate everything, and I also change sequence of bodyparts so you can "pre-exhaust" areas that you sometimes save for the end of a workout.

Sounds good...a lot of people lack upper chest development. Hell, in high school, all you see is kids doing flat bench, over and over. Once a month, I train chest two times a week. One day for fast twitch, the other day for slow. One day, do lots of reps at low weight, then low reps at heavy weight.

I have a lot of variety I do with chest. Here are some examples.

Flat bench, decline bench, incline bench *all barbell* machine flyes, flat and incline flyes, then all your dumbbell presses, cable crossovers, dips.

If you racked the bar, then you're lifting the bar.
