I'm about to start on Trisoralen and have had conflicting opinions on the dosage - any advice? Some say eod, others only before tanning, and the pamphlet (well that's for people with psoriasis) Primo IP: Logged |

Ideally it should be taken eod for 14 days right before tanning sessions- be sure to wear uv blocking Wraparound sunglasses when outside-it can cause a thickening of the cornea if the are exposed to uv rays. BTW- how did you get some it has been out of production for a couple of years- did they make another run? BTW2- the Psoralens are primarily used to treat vitiligo- or depigmentation. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey macro, will the little goggles in the tanning salon be sufficient protection, or should I put a towel over my eyes? I never have time to lounge around in the sun, so I have to fake bake. Primo IP: Logged |

I take it 2 hours before tanning and I get incredible results.By the way Macro,I live up in Canada and I just ask my Doc for a prescription,she gives it to me no problem.As a matter of fact I dropped of my prescription last Friday and I'm on my way to go get it today.I'll let you know who makes it.Later. Trisoralen helps increase the amount of melanin produced by melanocytes in respsonse to ulraviolet light,but you just don't take Trisoralen and get a dark tan,you need UV to activate it.Trisoralen is quite safe when used properly.But it is considered medication,not a supplement,so use it with caution.You shouldn't and you don't need to use more than 28 tablets per cycle without going on at least a 4 week off cycle.And you don't need to take more than 2 tablets(10 milligrams)two hours before each tanning session.Enjoy your dark tan bros.
