i feel your pain. my last gf started getting freaked out after i hit 210 - too much time in the gym, to big... blah blah. my new gf is great... no complaints about my time in the gym and she's ok no matter how big i get! it really does help to have a mate who's on your side. IP: Logged |

As the female from Dallas on the board, married as we all know to Mr. Guns, let me give you a word of advice. Before you throw the baby out with the bathwater, take a break, take a step back and look at the situation. Have you tried to get her into the gym? She may decide she loves it and may end up getting more hard core than you are. If you do find another female who loves bodybuilding, a word of warning. She may not have time for you.....gotta go to the gym, you know!!!! It is great having a partner you can work out with at the gym and then work out with when you get home, but it is good to have your own life and interests too. Mother hen of the board speaks again. yeah i took her to the gym once, she can't stand the burn from lactic acid build up so she quits before she's truly fatigued the muscle and she won't even go far enough to tone up. she walks all the time 2-3 miles a day but she thinks what i do is totally unhealthy. b.t.way she saw that medical special on fox4 tri ------------------ IP: Logged |

Good idea, Tri, take a vacation. I love the fact that me and Big Daddy are together in the gym now. Wasn't like that before. I had to get him in there and get him going. When he started seeing the results, he couldn't be stopped. We spend much more time together and are alot closer because of it. Don't get me wrong, though....we can't always work out together for fear of biting each others head off. On the other hand it is good to have different interests and lives but to tell you the truth, relationships last longer when the two have more in common and like to do the same things. It might work out if she can try to understand what you do at least and try to support you in it. Likewise for you. The Mother Hen Has Spoken...... Mrs. Guns IP: Logged |
