While looking around the garage, I found a set of "micro" diamond needle files and a brilliant idea popped into my head; why not use them to score the necks of amps? A conventional hardened steel file just doesn't cut it, but these diamond files are the best. The set is made by "Eze-Lap" and consists of six 5.5' long, thin profile files. I think I purchased the set for about ten bucks many years ago. If you've ever had amps break unevenly or shatter, you will love using these files. Simply score the neck as usual (you will see a definite score line) then simply snap - Pop goes the amp top, the cleanest break you've ever seen.
