![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You know, I've never seen em test for steroids at a karate tournament. So if I'm takin somethin that makes me stronger w/more endurance, faster, and more aggresive, whats the harm? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I don't believe AS will make anyone a better fighter. Just because you bench 600lbs doesn't mean you can fight your way out of a wet paper bag. Bruce Lee was definatley a good example of this. I think that is why gladiator sports do not test for AS as much. It does not give a real advantage- IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think from a point of view even for increased aggression AS would be a plus. I'm almost 36 yrs old and after goin even 6 rounds I can feel it. Plus AS do help anyway, they just give you more of what you already have. If you got the skills anyway, hey. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know, I think the hormonal up's and down's could really screw with a pro. I think AS would be great for something like wrestling or grappling, but I don't see it working as good for boxers and martial artists- IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mr. T; You couldn't be more right or more wrong- let me explain. AS will not make you a good fighter. Figthing well is something that takes qualities that can't be enhanced by drugs. Coordination, training, willpower, skill, luck. If you have all of these things in abundance, you will probably fight well. On the other hand, martial arts tournaments are made up of fuckers who have all of this going for them also. In this case, being able to squat 600lbs. is handy when you are trying to put a tomoe nage on some poor bastard. Likewise, if you weigh in at 275lbs, I doubt anyone under 220 is going to put you down with a punch. You simply have too much mass to put down. Also, muscle and tendon development can help protect joints and nerve plexi that in a smaller opponent would still be vulnerable. I say, if you are doing it for money, go for it. If you are just fighting in tournaments, try to win on your own merits or stay out of the game. P.S. I know for a fact that one UF champion has been a consistent Steroid user. And, no I won't tell you who. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I disagree on two points, first many of the great US boxing knockout artists were under 220lbs. Tyson, Frazier, Marciano, Patterson and so on. It is the velosity of the punch, not the muscle behind it. Also, when you get hit in your jaw at the right point and hard enough it does not matter if you are 100lbs. or 300lbs. The result will be a knockout. This is why the Butterbean gets his ass kicked when he fights real fighters- IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mr.T , a REAL martial art contains both striking and grappling. I"ve wrestled, judokai'ed, and struck and they all rely on the same pricnciples... -power -strength -leverage -speed -agility -timing -experience and the most important ( and only the elite will know this) -fienting IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thats why I said in my earlier post that AS would be good for grappling or wrestling, I just don't see it for striking. Just me though- IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was looking forward to doing a cycle and competing. I think juice would help IF you train right (like speed drillz, along with strength) If you have a strong punch or kick and your foe has a sloppy block BAM you get through. that simple. glad to see I am not the only one who likez TAE KWON DO. Although l8r I would like to try some softer stuff. L8r broz IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You guys sort of lost the point of the thread...... The only harm in AS is taking them in an uninformed manner. And unfortunately a lot of people do. We get a lot of newbies asking for cycle advice, and a lot of them don't know shit. If they did the cycles they proposed, they'd be all fucked up. So think about the ones that don't even ask, that don't know about this board or look elsewhere. Uninformed use is the danger. Lack of info is what keeps AS illegal. I have heard of UF competitors using Halo or methyltest to increase aggression. As far as UF competitors juicing, Ken Shamrock? If not then, he does in WWF. And as for boxers under 220 knoking guys out, the guys they knock out are also under 220. Butterbean says he'll go 3 rounds with anyone and he probably could. Matt IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tae Kwon Do.....heh..heh...damn I hate the korean arts...with exception to hapkido..(there you go Doc.heh.heh.) Ive competed both PKC..and IKC..and as far as I know they dont test for AS The years I ran the NHB circuit I never once got tested for anything. Now being a karateka..is it point fighting your going into? Forms?..Breaking?..Weapons? If its point your talking about..the extra aggression could be both good and bad..meaning well basically if you make a guy kiss his nose..your going to get DQ'd.. But if you can use it to increase your speed..then it would be nice to beat him to the punch...BTW..I hate point fighting...I dont like pulling any type of strike.. Try it and find out..I always competed natural..and never had a problem being aggressive..heh.heh...put your honor on the shelf for a second..and go in there with the total intent of destroying your target..and let us know how it goes.. Later Karateka.. WCP ------------------ IP: Logged |
