There are quite a few people in the world that don't completely understand the "obsession" that we "iron freaks" have with bodybuilding. Short story here: I'm 40 and have been lifting hardcore for two years now........since my divorce. That rocked my world, but at the same time, it gave me the opportunity to really focus on getting my body in better shape. I was like an old house.........that was now back on the market. So I figured it was time to turn it around! I worked really hard and make some excellent progress with training, diet, and supplementation. People really started noticing too.............and there is nothing that equals that powerful feeling! And it has just fueled the fire for me so to speak. I feel like I'm eighteen again and it has done so much for me physically AND mentally. So many new doors have opened in my life now, and I owe it all to weight training. And now I'm ready to safely explore the use of AS, and I am pumped more than ever at the thought of what I can someday be! And the info I've received on this board has been outstanding! Thank you! Just wanted to share that with you bros out there and was hoping there would be some other "old boys" that could relate.

DELTMAN, I'M 39. GLAD YOU'RE STICKING
WITH IT. I'VE HAD MANY WORK-OUT PARTNERS
THROUGH THE YEARS THAT STARTED WORKING
OUT AFTER A DIVORCE. THEY WERE WORKING
OUT JUST TO GET A GIRL(THE WRONG REASON)
SO AFTER FINDING A NEW GIRL YOU NEVER
SAW THEM IN THE GYM AGAIN. LIVE THE
BODYBUILDING LIFESTYLE. DO IT FOR YOU.
GOOD JOB BRO AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FIRST
CYCLE.

Thanks for the encouragement Saint! It's funny how most men our age have already given up, and are on the down hill slide. I feel and look better than ever and can't wait to really "hookup" on AS. Gotta keep pushin'!

Older guy here, 48. I started working out 8/98. I was 300 pounds and 27% body fat. I lifted weights and did my aerobics religioulsy, followed Dan Duchaines's diet recommendations and by 5/99 I was 225 and 12% bodyfat.I am stillat it and am now 240 pounds and 10% bodyfat.
And as Deltman said "many new doors have opened" and I am a new man.
For a long time I was afraid to lift weights fearing I would never be like i wanted to be, buffed for lack of a better word since I have been following the sport since i was in 6th grade. Well, finding out I was HIV+ and that my older brother and Dad died in theior early 50's of massive first time heart attacks sure changes ones life and I wanted to live long. So I made the change and man the Doctor says I am in perfect health.
I have also been honest with the Dr. telling him I am doing AS with or without his blessing. He has been there for me. So that makes a big difference.
Keep up the great psots. This is a great board! With great guys!

Machurmsl,

That is progress.

You know something, I have actually been feeling content -- to content -- the last couple of weeks. No more.

I feel like a lil' kid running around here being 20. Glad to hear your guy's enthusiasm. While in high school, I had some extra weight. I hit the gym about a year and a half ago, and my natural progress has been outstanding. I'm planning on hitting my first stack this summer. Deca/Sust/Dbol. I will keep everyone posted on my progress!
