I'm not sure if this guy has a name, but he must have read one of my posts and email me a virus. The file he had attached was called Detectiontimeofanabolicsteroids.doc. Luckily, I scanned the file before downloading it. It had the prilissa virus!! Which I heard is a hardcore virus. Anyway, the guy who sent it to me was [email protected], supposedly his name is john henry(which i doubt is real). Well I wanted to warn you guys just in case. And I want to ask you guys for help to dick this guy for trying to dick me. I will give you any info you need. Thanks a lot.

I had emailed the same exact guy like 2 wks ago to send me the detection times and luckily i downloaded it at work and there is a firewall so the virus probably couldn't piggyback it's way through. I'll do the best i can to see if i can run a scan on his email addy and get his IP address so we can all fuck him. But just FYI the file is real and does show the detection times, i had no idea that he was trying to send a virus to people. I work for an internet security company so finding this guy will be easy.

hmm..I have to agree it is VERY possible he didn't know the file was infected. As it is a word document the virus can only be a macro virus. If you follow good practice then you should disable macros on documents of unknown origins.

Unless there is some active part to the document then you would not need macros enabled.

it is quite feasible that the sender has an out of date Virus Checker and did not detect the virus himself. Be sure *before* you bust this guys head - it sounds like he was just trying to send on the document.

A firewall will not remove a virus from a document as it passes through it (as far as I am aware). Either the copy received at work was not infected or the virus checker on that system is out of date as well.

HOWEVER, if you ascertain that it was intentional .. then fuck the twisted shit up Bro..

Just email the guy and let him know he needs to scan his drive. I get them every now and then at work as well. I just clean it, tell the person who sent it, and go on.
