![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone else on this? I've been on it for a lil over a week now, and feel great. I'm using this in conjunction with my first cycle. I feel as strong as on ox! Energy levels are very high, and strength has gone up. I doubt the AS has kicked in yet. The insulin rushes during the weekends kick ass. Just letting you all know this is a diet worth checking into.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have used this diet for dropping BF(while maintaining LBM), with great success. However, the individuals I know who have tried to gain on it, found it too difficult to ingest enough calories. It is a near ketogenic diet, you stay right outside ketosis by eating roughly 30gms of carbs a day. Fat intake, if I recall correctly is around 60%, so you end up feeling very satisfied all the time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diesel, Neither the Anabolic nor the Body Opus CKD are good choices for when on juice. A/S need carbs and insulin to work their best. There was a copy of one of Dan Duchaine's Dirty Dieting newsletters on the net which had a great article explaining this. I don't know if you'll be able to find it, but I'm sure there are other sources where you can research this. I did a some research on this myself, as I've used Dan Duchaine's diet several times. Works like a charm. I also did a cycle of d-bol while on it before I knew better. I felt good, but I've made much better gains with carbs vs. without. The Doctor IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was on that diet for 4 months. When I could no longer eat carbs w/o sprinting for a toilet I quit. I did shred up though. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I did the anabolic diet for about 6 months. Used it to gain size, not to cut up. Worked great. Gained some fat the first week, but then the majority was muscle. Gained 20-25 lbs if I remember correctly (I did it about 4 years ago) and I did it in conjunction with Leo Costa's Big Beyond Beyond program. I definately wouldn't do it while on a cycle though--you need the carbs. I was taking in about 230g of saturated fat a day--spam, pepperoni sticks, whole eggs, tons of beef, steak, etc. It was great!! Was taking in over 2000 mcg of cholesterol a day (recommend cholesterol intake is 200 mcg) so I was 10 times over that. Had blood work done before and after the diet and my cholesterol levels LOWERED! I would still do It now if I had time to do all the cooking. I highly recommend it. --bigtbone IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You ABSOLUTELY need carbs in order to build as much muscle as possible. did the anabolic diet for 4 months and shredded up while gaining a LITTLE bit of muscle. as soon as i stopped and introduced carbs, muscle gains started again at a very fast rate. in my opinion the anabolic diet is good for leaning up while preserving muscle (precontest). my recovery also suffered while on the anabolic diet due to the low carbs. hope this helps. -Pops IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dr. DiPasquale (sp? author of the Anabolic Diet) mentions that anyone who's on the Anabolic Diet and on AS, will have better gains than someone who is on AS alone. I think this is because while on the Anabolic Diet, you have major insulin surges (weekends), glycogen receptors in your muscles are very open, GH & Test is increased significantly. Besides, fat itself is anabolic (more reason why pro's bulk up in the offseason to put on muscle). Right now, I'm eating around 4000 cals a day during the week. My breakfast alone is around 1200 cals (during the week). Weekends I'm probably at 5-6000 cals. I plan to bump up my cals during the week to 5000. More eggs, bacon, and butter. Shit- I went through a carton of butter last week. I'll let you guys know how my results are and post my pics when I'm through.
