I read through the archives but could not find any info about on cycle depression.
I'm on my first cycle, 8 weeks, doing 500mg Omna and 400mg Deca a week, clomid 50mg EOD. I gained about 22 pounds in the first 3 weeks, then decided to cut back on carbs to gain cleaner. Now I'm in the middle of week 5, a few pounds heavier. The thing is, I'm depressed as hell, got acne ( I was prone to it before), bloated so I look fat (I thought Clomid would reduce this a bit), NO appetite, basically force feeding myself, don't feel like working out...any idea what's causing this, maybe the EOD Clomid? I'm also taking multivitamins, ZMA and Accutane, which isn't even working for my acne right now. Sometimes I actually feel like crying. I don't think I'm overtraining because my lifts have been increasing little by little...haven't really had an appetite the whole time I've been on. Originally this was going to be a 9 week cycle but I'm quitting at week 8...probably my last cycle ever, unless I decide to use mild AS like Primo in the future.

its just all the hormones floating around in your body. i have gotten this before, when i was taking alot of abombs. a buddy of mine told me to get some sun from a tanning bed and it worked like a charm. maybe something for you to try. other than that, that is all i can tell ya.

I'm almost done with a deca/sust/ana/eq cycle. I felt the same way. depressed, force feeding myself. Also, making great gains, in size and strength. I've always done primo isntead of Deca. I've always felt great on any cycle. not this one. that's the only difference, the deca. Who knows it could be the weather. We're in spring now, and I feel a litle better.

i felt the same exact way, but i was pretty positive it was due to clomid. i was more sensitive and emotional on the days that i took it.. i didnt experience that when i took clomid 100mgs ED after cycle, its just during cycle, for somereason, makes u feel weird

Yes, it is quite possible for some people who are using anabolic steroids to suffer from depression on a cycle. I'm doinf this fro memory....I read somewhere that when your test level raise, your estrogen levels may also raise to compete with the rising elevation of testosterone. This rise in estrogen can cause depression. Also Accutane has been associated with depression in sensitive individuals. I suggest you use arimidex....I believe that will help your sense of well being.

Accutane has also been known to cause depression in some individuals.

Depression comes and goes during a cycle in my experience. Just be ready for it and it will pass. Just recognize that it is due to the raging hormones!

I was doing fine, then switched over to Omnadren and TToKKyo Deca. After a month I felt sluggish, depressed, and not wanting to work out. Also, the sex drive took a major nose dive. My reasoning was that the Omnadren was not good and I was stuck with just Deca floating around in my system. In other words I had extremely low test. I switched over to Nile Sustanon and I four days I felt much better and by two weeks I was getting massive pumps, looking bigger and having a good time in the gym. Can't say for sure, but throw a different test in there and see what happens. Slinger

My Omna can't be fake...remember I gained 23 pounds during the first 3 weeks. I started Deca at week 2, so it couldn't have caused the (water) gain. To tell you the truth, I haven't noticed an increase in my sex drive, but then again I'm 19.

I think gethuge is right. In my researching about Accutane, I was told it causes severe depression. So much so that it leads users to suicide. Doctor prescribed accutane is closesly monitored monthly for the obvious physical sides as well as the emotional. I have it (but haven't started) I was told by both my doctor and pharmacist that if I felt down talk to my doc immediately(they stressed it). There could be other factors in your depression but I'd say this is part of it. What is your daily dose?

If youre ON you can use the increased hormone levels to help battle the depression instead of worsening it. As AS increases protein(amino acid) synthesis, try using amino acid based mood enhancers such as 5-HTP ,SAMe ,l-tyrosine etc.

Hope this helps
