Quick question I did an aratest shot 1cc in the thigh and now it is swollen and there is a red rash developing on my leg a first the rash wash small and it seems to be spreading out bigger. I am 2/3 of the way through the ara bottle and have had no touble with any other shots. I use new pins every time and clean everything with alcohol. It feels like a sus shot in the thigh but the swelling and the rash have me a little concerned. If it happened to you before let me know. I'm curious to know what is next or how long it will take to go away?    | ||

it appears as though you have an abcess. if it is painful to the touch, is a lump, and is red or rash-like, then it is most likely a abcess. give it a few more days, if it doesn't get better, go get it drained. if you wait too long, they might have to cut it open, and that would seriously suck.  | ||

beefy I used 1 inch pins and have done similar shots any idea why I would get an absce. Thanks man that is what it is like. | ||

yeah, there are many things it could be, an abcess being the worst. when i inject in my shoulders, i frequently find that i get painful lumps. they weren't absesses, i just had huge inflammatory responses in my shoulders, and from winny in general. another thing it could be is a hematoma induced by injected too close to a vein. this happens when you inject your gear right next to a vein, and the vein gets cinched off, and eventually bursts under high enough muscle and blood pressures. if it bruises, than that is what it most likely is. and lastly, to answer your question, as far as why you got an abcess, it's really luck of the draw. if you're very careful about being sterile, than you'll get away with it most of the time, but maybe you slipped up somewhere (didnt use alcohol, coughed or sneezed on your needle, had really dirty skin and didn't rub alcohol on it, etc). | ||

oh yeah, one more thing...if you're a stud, go get yourself an 18 gauger, and jab her into the abcess, and drain her yourself(draining it will decrease the amount of bacteria, and give your body a better chance of overcoming the infection without the need for antibiotics) of course, that might suck more than going to the doc. if you go to the doc, just tell him you did a B-12 shot from a ol' dirty vial or something. | ||

Actually I had this same problem with aratest for about the first 2-3 weeks I was on it, however I wouldnt shoot anything with prop in it in my quad it makes my ass sore enough I like to appear as though I walk upright..heh..heh..heh..heh.. How long have has your quad been like this? And does it appear to be dispersing? peace, ------------------ | ||

I did the shot on monday and it took about 1 too days to get sore the lump and the rash started yesterday. I went and did legs when I got home I put a warm compress on it and tried to rub it out. Now it is still swollen and the rash is the size of the palm of my hand. I going to wait hopefully it will go away I have to go again tomorrow in the left thigh and there is no way in hell I can reach around and stick my big ass see ya. | ||

Well, let me tell you, i had an abcess cut and drained, and i was out of commission for 7 weeks....in the hospital for over a week, and at home for 5 1/2 weeks with a nurse visiting every day to dress the wound. it was horrible. i never got a rash, though....just a lump, that kept getting bigger and bigger....then my whole leg ached, from my hip to my knee to my ankle. i couldnt even walk. anyway, they drained two coke-cans worth of infection, is how the doc put it. but tell the doc the truth. he is your doc and if it is an abcess beleive me you dont want it to get infected. just letting you know whats going on the rash seems to be going away but still alittle swollen we'll see by monday how it looks. |
