What are the best ways to get a solid bicep peak. Genetics threw me a curveball in the bicep department as they are the hardest muscle for me to develop and make stronger, but I'm not letting gentics hold me back. I've tried basically everything and nothing gives me the results I want. Any routines are appreciated. ------------------

Well, I was going to say it's all genetics until I read your second sentance. All you can do is work you biceps. No excercises bring out the peak...genetics do.

I seem to be enjoying peaks from a renewed zeal for Preacher Curls. Been placing alot of emphasis on forced negatives, to failure.

Finish your bicep routine with unilateral (one handed) cable curls either standing by the low pulley (bent over) or with a preacher bench. Make sure to supinate and flex hard at the top. These have done wonders for my peaks and splits.

I agree with ajc. My peaks went through the roof when I used to do cable curls. I rarely do them anymore, and I have noticed that my peaks are looking more like plateaus. I guess I need to hit the cables for my final set. ------------------

Since i brought concentration curls into my routine ive noticed a bigger peak in my bi's along with better vasularity, try doing 3 sets of them with a weight you can handle for 10 - 15 reps. Gymbob.

A little known fact is that the brachiallis muscle actually runs from the side of the elbow down underneath the bicep (between the bicep and the bone). Therefor doing heavy hammer curls and building up the brachiallis actually helps to push the bicep muscle out farther. I read this on the mesomorph.net critical thinking section, and after incorporating it have noticed definate results. This will not give you Schwarzenegar biceps, but may help you with poor genetics as so many of us are stricken with.

Could one of the mods please throw "godoveryou" off of Elite. I don't think any of us are interested in his insipdly dogmatic viewpoints

My worst body part. Heard that working Bi's twice a week can help. One day heavy. Straight bar lifts heavy curls. One day light dumbells high reps. Never tried it myself but the guy who told me had great Bi's. If I where you I'd research it a little more. Good Luck. I'll definitely be following this post. |
