My chest is definately my lagging body part. It is to the point now where I can go squat with just about anyone in my gym, then the same guy can bench 100lbs more than me. If your chest was your lagging body part and you were able to get it up to par, tell me how you did it. I am at a loss.

bro my chest is not lagging, but my arms are my lag part, but I am bringing them up, prob 19", but since your chest is lagging, that means you need to do some weakpoint training. Hit chest 2 times a week, when you do shoulders and then chest alone, make sure you do an array of exercises, make sure you do flat bench, incline, incline flys, lying flat flys, crossovers, pullovers, declines, dips, and any other exercises which benefit the chest, do the same on shoulder day, just make sure you hit every area of the chest that way you will force it to grow, you dont nessecarily have to go heavy, but just make sure you go to failure on each set.

My chest is lagging too, its my weakest body part, it actually looks small compared to other parts. About 3 weeks ago started training it twice a week and I think I can see the difference already.

I have a chest like a shithouse, but this cycle is helping it out a little. I'm going to try that 2 times a week workout and see how it goes. Also working on building the tris. My arms are about 19" now, but the chest needs more size and power. ------------------

yes, my chest is a lagging bodypart. It is my worst. I have phenominal legs (quads, hams and calves) very good shoulders and great triceps. My bis and back and decent. But chest sucks. I have really stuck. Consider this. I can bench press 275 for four reps. Both incline and flat, my poundages don't change at all. BUT!!! I can also behind the neck deep shoulder press 225lbs for 6-7 reps. Does that show how weak my chest is. Someone print some info.

I am going to try hitting chest 2x per week, I guess I was worried about overtraining it. When I work chest I blast the hell out of it, I am usually sore for 2 days afterwards. I have also tried taking the day after chest day off, to give it more recovery time. When I do flat, and incline my arms get tired first, like it is hitting my arms more than my chest. What am I doing wrong? I am a little taller than average 6'3 but that should not be a big deal...I use a grip that is slightly wider than shoulder width.

I always only maxed out at 325lbs but I found the key, well it worked for me- CLOSE-GRIP FLAT BENCH AND CLOSE-GRIP INCLINE BENCH. Now im at 365lbs Our strenght coach has us doing chest 3 days a week.

That means you were tricep limited. If someone has a small chest and big arms, this might not help much. I mix up every combination of incline/decline/flat with dumbells/barbells/hammerstrength. Thats nine possible exercises. My chest is still my worst bodypart though so maybe you shouldn't listen to me. |
