Hey guys,

God does contest dieting play with your mind. Usually I am very stable and decisive and I know where I am going completely with my diet, training and drugs.

Now DREXX needs a little help from his buddies.

Usually my metabolism runs between 3500 and 4000 cals depending if I am on or off cycle.

I got this number by multiplying my Lean Body Mass by 20.5 off cycle and 23.5 on cycle

ex. 172lbs of LBM x 20.5 = 3526 cals per day off cycle
172lbs of LBM x 23.5 = 4042 cals per day on cycle

This is usually like clockwork for me and varies very little. I have been monitoring my calories and body fat every week or two for the last 1.5 years.

Now start the contest prep. I was 192lbs and 12% body fat (3970cals metabolism).

I create a caloric deficit of about 1000cals per day only eating 3000 cals on a keto diet and I add in 5 x 35 min of stationary bike per
week.

I expect to lose: 7000cals from diet and 1400cals from Cardio so a total of 8400 or 2.4lbs of FAT.

I only lost 0.66 lbs of FAT and gained 0.18lbs of LBM but the test was just starting to kick.

Got me confused as hell. After recalculating I decided my new Metabolism is 3160 per day instead of 3970. Then I lower calls to 2000 cals for the next week hoping to catch up with my fat loss and I also add in 6 times 45min of stationary bike (on an empty stomach) as well as 25mcg of T3 per day and the ECAY 3 times per day.

Now I lost only 1.78lbs of FAT while expecting to lose 3.8lbs of FAT after these last 9 days.

That means that now my metabolism is slower and only burning about 2446cals

What should I do... It's going to keep going down if I keep dropping calories...

What is the min. amount of cals I should take in for a guy that is now 192.5 @ 10.71% and 10 weeks out.

My goal bodyfat is the following: (lose most fat possible now and then slow down to let the skin tighten and glide into the contest)

Week_____Bodyfat
10******** 10.71%
9******** 9.43%
8******** 8.14%
7******** 7.28%
6******** 6.43%
5******** 5.57%
4******** 4.71%
3******** 4.29%
2******** 3.86%
1******** 3.43%
0******** 3.00% **** THE SHOW ****

I have competed before and gotten to 5% bodyfat with no T3 and only 250mg of AAS per week. Now I am using 1000mg of AAS per week till the contest.

Last year the lowest I went was 2700cals and I had 10lbs of LBM less with less drugs and it was also a keto diet. I lost 8% bodyfat in 10 weeks last year with those calories.

I think I may need to up the calories to get my metabolism where it should be. I am scared to gain fat though...

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

hey bro first off take a breath and relax your fine. the diet plays with your head and you need to remain focused. keep in mind dropping calories is a mistake. try to take in 12 times your bodyweight and increase cardio. if you can cardio in the am on an empty stomache will increase your metabalism and make for great improvements. if you drop the calories you will lose muscle mass no two ways about it. you don't mention your stack but make sure your hitting the fat burners (i took hydroxcut it worked great for me). your bodyfat lost will slow down as you go lower its the bodies natural reaction. there will be weeks it won't move as you hope than bam its even lower. just stay focused, watch the mirror and do the cardio. at this stagew i was doing cardio twice a day with heavy inclines and a speed of 3.7 to 4.0 for 35 to 45 minutes each time. kept the muscle mass and lost the body fat. stay focused.

Thanks Flexed1

I appreciate some advice from someone that looks as good as you.

I am now doing 6 times 45 min of cardio on an empty stomach.

This week I will increase it to 2 times per day 30min so a total of 60 min per day.

I will up my calories to 2310 from my 2000 cals last week.

I did a keto diet but I am strongly thinking about changing to a diet that consists of 40% protein 30% carbs and 30% fat. Should I do it?

I will post my stack in the next post so it's clearer.

you'll be amazed at the cardio twice a day. when you kick in the winny at about week 3 you'll harden right up. i also love eq with the winny on a contest cycle maybe consider that and drop the test in later so your not on for 12 weeks but most of all do whats best for you and listen to your body. i think you will also be amazed that you'll lose bodyfat very quickly when you increase the calories and the cardio. many miss the baot on that one. t3 has always scared me as it can lead to to much bodyfat loss to quickly resulting in loss of muscle mass but I am sure you have expereince with it. thanks for the compliment that was very nice.

Thanks again friend!

I will increase calories a little and split the cardio twice a day. That should step up my metabolism a little.

If it doesnt work next week I will try changing up my calories everyday.

EX.

Day 1 - 1800 cals
Day 2 - 2300 cals
Day 3 - 2800 cals
Day 4 - 1800 cals ...

All of you should be ashamed of yourselves. This board is about bodybuilding and gear and when someone asks for assistance everyone should try to help. In this case a fellow brother needs help getting over diet induced mind games and nobody responds. Maybe if the question was can i drink winny while having contest blues others would have written. it goes to show that many who have lots of posts after there names truly no nothing about bodybuilding.

Drexx-
I'm sure you know what you're doing (don't let the lack of food fuck wit ya), I just have 2 quick questions regarding your cycle:

1. why clomid ed?
2. why not T3 4 weeks and ramp it up and down? It will be a longer t3 cycle and if you boost your protein you probably won't lose too much muscle. Also, if you see yourself starting to drop in lbm you could cut back on the cardio.

just my .02 cent

"why clomid ed?"

I am using 25mg of Clomid ed as a mild anti-E. I just added 10mg of Nolvadex ed starting today also as an anti-e.

"why not T3 4 weeks and ramp it up and down?"

I would but I only had 60 tabs left.

E2 might compete in that show!

I am bugging him to do it, it would be awesome.

RoNiN from this board is also doing that show but he will be Heavyweight like E2 and I will be a middleweight unless I come in a little over 176lbs.

I better be under 176lbs because that show has no light-heavys. After 176lbs you are considered a heavyweight.

I changed up the diet a bit!
Now I have a diet of 2160 cals per day on off days...

That is 249g Protein, 137g Carbs and 69g Fats per day

Ratio is about 50% protein, 25% Carbs, 25% Fats.

On training days I take in a little more calories in the form of carb.

The meals are all the same but before and after training I consume 50g of carbs more than the meal calls for.

On training days that means I get 249g Protein, 237g Carbs and 69g Fats so 2565 cals per day.

screw that damn bodyfat caliber it only fucks with your head, you extremely vulnerable right now, remember you been there before you have a game plan stick to it, some weeks you will change drastically others not at all, thats why the diet is 12 weeks thats how long it takes to get in shape. make sure your protein is high then you wont loose any muscle you should be close to 300gram from all food no shakes this will work better. next carbs derivived from low glycemix ie yams, oatmeal, rice cakes, brown rice id say at about 250gr a day divide this over 6 meals evenly, no fats! cant mix fats and carbs or flip flop back n forth it wont work. drop that enthanate half way through switch to propinate, i didnt see nolvadex add that the last 2 weeks and add proviron the last 4 these will draw the water out. watch the mirror thats what matters have someone else look at you just once a week so they can critique preferably someone ion the know. email me direct for any other help, the last 4 weeks tighten it up and the last week is what makes or breaks you. hang in there everyone else is going through the same damn thing
look at me im 4 1/2 weeks out and i was harder 2 weeks ago ya im sweating it now i have to keep tinkering til i find out whats wrong, scary aint it

I am so gald folks are responding. I was about to rage. The diet looks better. I like the carb ratio and when I competed my fat ratio was much lower and my protein higher but I came in to lean. I think the fats are imporatnt in the way of almonds and the likes to reamin full. To me the carbs fuck ya up so yours look good.

Again stay focused and glad to see other repsonding. Maybe there is still some hope for elite.
