I have done 1 week and 1/2 of my sos/dec 8 week cycle and got really hurt this last weekend. Went to the doc today and he didn't want me lifting weight until I see an orthapedic doctor tomorrow.

My arm might be ok but my left leg is fried(good excuse to get out of doing though huh). Anyway should I continue to shoot or should I just stop until I get better but I really wanted to put on some good mass before Memorial day.

Btw anybody know how long it takes a torn ligament to heal good enough to wakeboard? I swear why do I always get hurt going into wakeboard season.

Thanks.

Dude if you tore something you got to give it at least a month for a full re-coop. I torn ligs in my knee in '97 and it took me 16 weeks to fully re-coop, it sux but you got to do with it and I think if you just shoot up and not life your gonna be wasting your time and $$$

this is a good post or thread that shows you have to be really careful when lifting or doing sports or any athletic task, getting injured is not fun and you will dry up like a raisin, I hurt my back back in 95, and it wasnt fun, quit lifting seriously for 4.5 years, this is why I never try to bench 400lbs, or squat 600, I like to stay injury free, and bro get your shit healed up before doing anything, sorry to hear your cycle and progress is strained at put at a rest, get bettter, nothing is worse than injury, if its your leg you can work around it, but I dont suggest takin any juice except maybe 200mg of deca a week, just to give you maintenance.

yeah I had my back injury, and the fuckin doctors wouldnt xray, mri, or nothing, all he said was you probably tore a muscle in you mid dorsi, well it was the muscle that connects your back shoulder and arm all in one, and they wouldnt do shit about it, man it put me out permanent for about 2.5 years, then I moved to cali, and finally started training after I was smokin weed and drinkin old english 800 for a year straight, I dried up to 170, but thats because I wasnt eating right, but yeah, I finally decided to get back going, went from 175 to 220 in 3 months off creatine and andro, now I juice and am only 230, but when I was a natural 220 I wasnt shaped and hard and strong like I am now, bottom line, injury is not good.

Curling, sorry to hear about your injury bro. Healing time for a ligament injury depends on what structures are injured and the severity of the injury. Is it the medial collateral ligament? Anterior Cruciate? Also depends on whether it is a complete tear or just a partial tear. Proper treatment and rehab will help speed the healing process as well. Let me know if you have any questions...sports medicine is what I do for a living. Peace V3

I sell orthopedic implants and spend my days in surgery.

You didn't mention what your injury is and you may not know until you see an orthopedic surgeon.

In your arm if you tore the biceps tendon, it can be repaired and YOU WILL BE OUT OF the gym at LEAST SIX months. If you opt for natural healing it will take at least 10 Weeks for major healing. If you tore the muscle that is more serious and less likely.

In your knee it actually can be repaired with arthroscopy and recovery in much less time. The knee is not a simple joint, with bones, tendons, ligaments, meniscus tissue and muscle. Depending upon your injury and a subsequent scope you could be back in the gym with in four weeks.

However, the good news is you may have simply sprained (pulled) something with no tears and your recovery could be a couple of weeks. Good luck let us know what your surgeon finds out tomorrow.
