Ok I think I just found another hernia.. It really bothers because I just had one fixed less than a year ago. I have been training serious for the last two years and have done two cycles for about 20-25lb gain.
I have been following a workout program that Yates published in Flex. Which is a high intensity, weight and low reps, frequency. With this type a lifting I had to use the heaviest weight but with good form to go to muscle failure. Example I weigh 180 at 5'9" and workout with 185-245 flat bench, 185-225 low squat, 80-110 dumbbell row, 135-155 standing military press, deadlift 225-335. I don't think thats heavy by what I see other guys doing.
I need help with: Is some body's just not able to lift heavy?

I cant have surgey for about 3 months(job) Can I still train?

I was thinking about just doing the direct oppisite of what doing. Switch to high reps high sets high frequency and low weight, low intensity and no AS or thermadrene.

Beach weather is coming so I am not in a bulking phase and would just like to make small SAFE gains with low BF.. Please replay with you input.

i dont know about your hernia problem, but genetics does play a role in how much weight you will be able to lift, small frame people have small joints and using really heavy weight will take their toll on them, you can use wraps to help, but on my last cycle i was lifting so heavy it tore my joints up, especially my wrists and shoulders.

Bro the only thing I cna say is "NO PAIN NO GAIN" Sitting here with a fractured rib and torn pec and still hitting in practice and starting back training on Monday. Can't really answer your questions, not a doctor here. But I have found just put the pain out of your mind and go at it. Sorry to hear about your mishaps, and I hope everything works out for the best.

Bro when you have an injury DO NOT PUT THE PAIN OUT OF YOUR MIND!
When you habe pain from an injury its your body sending signals to the brain to stop doing what you are doing.
When you ignore the pain from an injury it only gets worse and before you know it you have to stop training for months instead of days to let the injury heal.
Take it from a hardcore dumbass like me that trained hard while hurt too many times and learn from my mistakes bro.
As for the hernia , Go see a doc if its not real bad you can still train light till you have the surgery.

Bro I do got one thing to say, don't never let a doc tell you somethign and believe it. I had my complete knee replaced 3 years ago. Doc said I would never play sports again, and that I would be walking funny the rest of my life. Also when I destroyed 2 discs in my lower back they said I would be looking at my feet hunched over by the age of 30. Well....I am 29 (not 30 yet), still looking straight ahead, and still playing a sport I love football. By the Grace of the big man upstairs I am still on my feet and doing everything the docs said I would never do. If your mind believes that you can do it then your body will follow. Good luck my brother.

One thing you may want to make sure of is your breathing when pushing heavy weights. if you arent breathing out when pushing up it is very easy to get a hernia. We have talked about this many times in some of my physical fitness classes and development classes, if you are holding your breath (not exhaling while lifting) all the pressure is trying to escape somewhere, and if you arent letting it, it will bubble out (hernia). So make sure your breathing is right while exercising. If it is, im sorry, but it is a possibility.
