Has anyone taken a cruise to Mexico and took your gear back on the boat without problems? If so how did you do it? ------------------

ahhhh........cruises. I've been on many cruises in the past and brought back gear on many occasions. If you're worried about bringing ANYTHING back on the boat from mexico dont be worried at all. On a certain cruise line I travel on the security staff is not looking for anything but booze because that would take away from their bar sales. Just carry whatever you have in your pockets and walk casually. They have an X-ray machine but I think they are just looking for booze & guns etc. Nothing to worry about at all. When you see them (they're usually all Indian), you will wonder if they even know what theyre doing! No dogs or anything. But when you are ready to disembark the boat to go home, the cruise line will make you put your luggage outside the door to be picked up by the staff and carried off the boat. The luggage is placed in a hanger and inspected by customs (dogs!). Just make sure your luggage doesnt smell like weed or fruit and it will be left alone. Keep whatever you have in your luggage and you should be fine (amps, pills). I even had smelly cuban cigars in mine and it went through ok. When you physically walk off the boat dont have anything on you. Every time I got off they pulled me over and searched my bag, but not me. I guess they spot check by steriotyping and I must fit the description. anymore questions let me know. good luck
