I went to the post office today, and found a yellow slip in my box. I always get these yellow slips, but this one was different. It was for a registered mail package that has to be signed for. I have never had to sign for a package before. A lady that works there that gets packages for people wile they are waiting on line refused to get my package for me and said I have to go up to the counter and sign for it, so I left the post office. It says right on the slip that the package is from Romania, so I know this is the one I've been waiting for. I sent the sender of the package an email to confirm whether or not he sent it registered mail. What should I do? I'm shitting bricks here. ------------------

This is international mail, perhaps this guy didn`t send it as registered mail but you will need to sign if you want to get it.

quote: E-mail your source, find out if he sent the package registered or not. If not, DO NOT PICK IT UP!!!! Romania is a country that i heavily flagged for pretty much everything. I should know, I lived there for 4 years. Godspeed

You should be ok if the package got there in a realatively short time. Every time I get a package from Russia or Romania I have to sign for it - yet the source does not send it registered. I'm not sure why this is, and it appears that not all post offices in the US do it this way - but mine does. If the delivery time is on target - GO GET IT.

are you sure Trans? That's one of the things that has me freaked out. I wasn't even expecting the package for at least a few more days. It left Romania only 4 days ago and it's already here. I was thinking that it got snagged and delivery was sped up to try and snag me more quickly?? I may be over reacting from all the buzz going around about all these people being busted, but I just want to be safe. How long does airmail from Romania to the eastern US usually take? ------------------

I got my package from romania in 4 days also . Had to sign for it too. Let it sit for a day or two then go sign for it. U think they will stake out the post office for days just to get one package , unless u got enough in the package to feed everyone on this board. I signed for mine that day. So dont worry just say u dont know what it is, u just got a slip and signed for it.Good luck

I have a guy that sends from Lithuania. He sends it by the cheapest way(10-15 days) I always get a yellow slip. I have to sign no matter what. I started with another guy from Lithuania and he sends by EMS. Tracking number and everything(5days) That package there was a pink slip in my box. That said it was registered and needed a signature. Some countrys require a sig. If it came on time and doesn't have Custom's tape on it. Sign. If they want you, they will get you no matter what.

In some countries, even if your source didn't send your package registered, you'll need to sign for it anyway....I would sign it!! |
