I'm on a cycle of Sustanon and Deca. Over the last week my blood pressure has been in the range of 156 to 168 today. Is this range enough to freak out over and go off my cycle or should I just chill out and see a doctor about going on blood pressure medicine? Does blood pressure medicine have any effect on your cycle?

ace inhibitors are actually beneficial to your cycle.

Bro, that BP is extremely high. 168 is not good at all. That definitely needs drastic measures. I'm not advising you to go off of your cycle, however, I would definitely advise you to add a BP med. I take Avapro and Avalide, the latter is the former except with a water pill built into it. Of the two, Avalide works best but I don't like taking a water pill for a long time. For a short period of time, I would recommend the Avalide. I also take Test. and it doesn't interfere one bit. I believe that the beta blockers do interfere, so stay away from those. Bro, pumping iron with your bp approaching 170 (at rest) is life threatening. Good luck, bro and get that shit down.

He RyanH, you are missing the point here. It is your low measurement that should make you worry. You should give the lower part (the one that can kill you). ------------------ Don't look back, life is too short

I hear ya bro... I've been on test and deca for 6 weeks now, and never checked my BP... I should know better... I just busted out my BP cuff, and it's 150/100.... that's not too good for me considering that my normal BP before the gear is around 100/50... I think I'll talk to a doc friend of mine tonite... but definitely be concerned if you start getting headaches... RJ

The two numbers should never be more than 100 pts. appart. That I know is bad. As for your BP I don't think that's retarded HIGH like stated above. How much water do you drink a day? Honestly? That's where most people run into BP problems. I bet if you drink 2 gallons of water a day for the next week it'll be a lot lower. Don't check it for a week. just pound water all day long EVERY DAY and check it in a week and you'll be amazed. Later, Green

168/90 is not high considering you are on roids. I would follow Green's advice and load myself with water, water, water. ------------------ Don't look back, life is too short

RJNCMEDIC, Hey my bp is 140/70 which is a little high but I get massive headaches when lifting. What is this a sign of? I have been taking Dandelion root for the past two days to lower my bp and water retention. Seems to be working. Let me know about the headaches though, should I see a doc?

Hey BTL... 140/70 isn't that bad, how old are you?... but the headache thing.. hmm... do you eat anything prior to working out? anything at all? it could be due to a lower glucose level if ya don't eat, or, you just may be straining way too hard.... I am guilty of this too... especially when I work legs... try eating a piece of fruit before ya workout, and make sure you are plenty hydrated with lots and lots of water... that may be a problem too... if you are dehydrated, that can cause a headache... but I really don't see the headache being caused by your BP..

Bros, a couple of things... First of all, getting the med I suggested is easy, just go to a doc, tell him where your bp has been for a while and tell him what med you'd like to try because someone you know uses that one. If you tell him it's been that high for a while he *has* to give it to you. He might even give you (for free) a months worth of samples. Next, it used to be believed that the lower number is the one to worry about, however, now "they" are saying that the upper number is the one you have to worry about. The lower number, the diastolic bp, is the outward pressure being applied to your arterial walls between heart beats, or when the heart is considered at rest. The upper number, or the systolic bp, is the same when the heart is pumping or considered not at rest. So please, don't think just because your lower number is within acceptable limits you are fine...not the case. Drinking a lot of water could *raise* your bp considerably. That's because if you are holding water, you will only *increase* the volume of fluid pumping through your arteries, and therefore, the pressure. So that is not an answer, unfortunately. What will get it down quickly is to either go on a water pill, like one you'd get for bp from the doc, or go on something like Avalide which is an excellent bp med which has a water pill in it already. Green, nothing personal bro, but I don't agree with anything you've said. Don't check it for a week? Hell, if your bp is that high you should be checking it a few times per day. RyanH, email me if you want...

BTW... What are you guys using to measure your b/p???? It was recently brought to my attention that "standard" b/p cuffs are for 15" max arm size. If your arm size is over 15" you must use a larger cuff or the results can be off by +- 20! I bought one of those automatic wrist jobbers a few weeks ago and was getting some crazy high readings (you don't wanna know how high)!. I can't seem to find out if the wrist type b/p machines are effected buy wrist or arm size, but I just ordered a large size cuff (they specify arm sizes in ranges of inches).

should I check my blood pressure on a testoviron 500mg/wk + dbol cycle?

Icarus, when i bought mine, i took it to the doc's office and whe compared the measurements. They where exactly the same at that moment. If you do this, then you know for sure if your machine is ok. ------------------ Don't look back, life is too short

I've bought an electronic blood pressure reader from Wal Mart, and the results have been varying like crazy, think that I should have bought a larger cuff.
