I'm 22yo and have been training since high school. I was an athlete in many sports and am now a nutrition student (about to graduate, bout fucking time) and avid lifter. I'm curious exactly how "far," in terms of muscle mass and resuced body fat, can a natural lifter expect to progress? I'm 5'9, 175lbs, 10% BF (caliper tested). My lifting gains have slowed to a absolute crawl even with periodization, etc. I used creatine and glutamine only and was wondering what might be the next step? At my height, what's a good body weight while keeping BF down? What should I shoot for? Or am I near/at my natural max (possible)? Thanks guys.

Everyone's different. It all depends on genetics, nutrition, training, ect. Assuming you've been doing all the right things naturally, then you'll know when you've hit your genetic potential.

I'll just "know?" What does that mean? How? When do you consider your max potential reached? I'm asking assuming that most of you reached it before trying AS. Maybe I shouldn't assume.

No offense bro, but none of us are physics on here. Everybody is different. There are too many variables that come into play ( genetics, diet, training, age, etc.) I trained for 4 yrs. before turning to the dark side. It was only after yrs of breaking through plateus that I decided I was ready. Although I rushed into it, and made some mistakes along the way. Just hang out and learn. None of us on here can tell you what your natural potential is, except for LUVS2JUICE, and he is not here anymore..

No Flame just my opinion You obviously have not been training hard and long enough. You reach a point when you just stop seeing the gains. Or your weight is not increasing.

You have MANY more years to improve naturally.I have been doing so for 15 years and I get better every year. You must always strive to improve and you will.Continue to experiment w/ different training techniques and dietary regimens to keep your body guessing.Consistent, hard work is the key. When I started training I weighed 125 lbs.and I now compete at 200lbs w/ 4% bodyfat.I have nothing against anyone who uses drugs,in fact I coach many athletes and BB's who use them, however,if you choose not to,don't let anyone tell you that you can't grow some serious muscle without them!Keep up the good work. ------------------ |
