My father is 53 and has bad back pain from herniated discs and pinched nerves.

He can get surgery but it either leaves you fine or leaves you paralyzed, so he doesn't want to chance it.

Anyone have any good advice for what he can do? He doesn't train at all.

You know every time I say this it comes out wrong but deal with the pain. I have 2 dics that are completely gone (bone rubbing against bone), and I still play semi-pro football. Plus train and juice. Is any of these helping I have no idea. Doc said I would have pain the rest of my life and I would either just lay there or deal with the pain. So I choose the later. Like I said it never sounds good when I say it at first. But some people just have to deal with the pain. I do feel for him thou. I understand what he is going through, bad thing is I am only 29 now.
