I have been on 50mg eod of winny and am feeling like my blood pressure is through the roof after the gym. I have a hard time going to sleep and get headaches (I think becasue of high blood pressure). Do you think this is a result of the winny (also taking 300mg primo a wk). Also, what are some ways I can lower blood pressure, foods or supplements wise? Thanks!

I am on 75mg ed of winny and I do not have high blood pressure but I do always seem to feel warm!!! maybe you should go and check your blood pressure first..I always go to a grocery store and use one of the machines that are free!

OK, I went to good ole Kmart and check my blood pressure with the free machine there and I had a systolic of 144 (high) and a diolic(sp) of 70 (healthy). So I am a bit high. Does anyone have suggestions on how to lower it while I finish up my cycle?

How is your sodium intake? Taking in high amounts of sodium can lead to high blood pressure. Try lowering it, which will reduce some water retention and hopefully your blood pressure as well. I will bump it for ya b/c as far as medications/supplements that will lower it, I am not sure.

You Should know that the cuffs in the store are for people w/ 15" arms (at most) over 15" the readings can be off by as much as 20 points either way.

I've been on similar cycle and have been having the same problems... Started cheking my b/p w/ regular cuff and got deadly readings (scared the shit outta me). I

I just ordered an "adult large" cuff from Suburban Ostomy for around 25 bucks, which will accomodate arm size 13"- 19".

You can e-mail me if you can't find their #.

Good luck and DON"T fool around w/ b/p (silent killer).

BTL, all things considered, that bp is not bad at all. However, the accuracy of the kmart bp machines leave a lot to be desired. If you really want to know what yor bp is, stop at a doc's office in the morning and ask a nurse, any nurse, to check it for you. It'll take her all of 2 minutes and it'll be free. She'll ask you to sit for a few minutes before she takes it, but that's for the best.

You might want to invest in a $20 bp contraption from your local pharmacy. This way, you can also check it at home when you get home from the gym. Don't blow this off, bro, you need to get some accurate readings if you really want to know where you're at.

As far as lowering it, aside from meds, there is no "quick" way to do it. I mean diet, exercise, relaxation techniques all help but it takes a bit of time before you start to see those work.

The med's you'll see a difference in only a day or two. A good med as far as I'm concerned in Avapro or Avalide. Avalide is Avapro with a water pill built into it. They are both pretty benign in terms of side effects. In fact, I haven't found one yet. That's what I take.

If you see a doc, and you want that med, tell him it's been up for a while (say you've been checking it everyday and it's running like 150/100 or something close to that) and tell him you heard about Avalide and want to see if it will help you. He'll definitely write you a script for it.

I know you may not want the med, but it may help when you're on the juice. It's better then negatives of high bp, that's for sure. Good luck, bro. hth

Thanks for the replies bros. I did some research and it looks like other bros with similiar symptoms have used diretics to lower bp along with water retention. So I just bought some Dandelion Root from GNC to try the OTC approach before going to the doc. I'll be done with my cycle in one week so that will hopefully suffice. Thanks again.
