As I know 17 aa Steriods are leathal to the liver, but how long does it take to heal?

Like anadrol, winn, halo.

I know the quicker it will heal if your not a drunk,
or does all just depend on the dosage?

Bro I didn't know your liver healed once damage was done from juice... I thought when damage was done it was done... I've heard of taking things to help reduce the risk of doing damage such as milk thistle ??? I hope I'm wrong and it does heal though... should get some good feed back on this I hope ?!?!?1
Peace..

I used to drink a lot in college and I mentioned it to one of my bio profs in passing and he said I should go talk to another prof in the dept who was doing research on the liver.
she just laughed and she said of all of the human organs, the liver is like a tank and recovers really well and relatively fast (she didn't talk of time) - but as long as you take the stressor away, you lose the danger on the liver.
the problem is once you have cancer or psoriosis in it, then that doesn't heal on its own.

I heard the liver takes about 3-4 weeks to completely heal, ofcourse, as long as there's no cancer or psoriosis.

No flame bro, but I think you meant Cirrhosis, the disease which afflicts the liver. Several years ago I was participating in an autopsy, the victim was obviously a heavy drinker. When we removed and examined the liver it was as hard as a rock and the color was kind of a gray/pink shade. Believe me after seeing that I decided to stop drinking all together.

I know the liver heals relatively fast...I don't think anyone could tell you exactly how fast. There are a number of factors, what type of steroid, dosage, time on, how much water you drink...how many liver helpers you take etc.....the only time you will have irreversible damage is when you develop fatty liver.

pretty much all liver damage is reverseable until scarring begins to occur. scarring usually won't occur without prolonged exposure to toxins. once the scarring occurs it is always there. all liver damage doesn't scar and that which doesn't will be reversable upon discontinuation of the toxins causing the stress.

Well I just had my liver checked about a week and 1/2 ago and it showed my AST=49 and ALT-80 ALBUM=5.3 TOTAL PROTEIN =8.3 the doc also put me on cholesterol med and retested me this week and the numbers are the same except the AST=43 and the ALT went up to = 82 after a ARA-TEST & TORNELL DECA cycle been off for 12weeks liver still high. Are these results indicate a fatty liver? These docs don't explain much.

The liver is one of the most robust organs
in the body. It is even able to regenerate
itself back to normal with only 25% of it
still healthy.

Godspeed

The liver is the only vital organ that can be repaired. Unless scare tissue has formed from cancer or other diseases. If you do not JUICE too hard and you ake the proper meds to help the liver, the liver will heal in time. Everyone is different, so I would allow 4 to 8 weeks for recovery...depending on your steroid dosage.

a couple years back i was on some heavy dosages of gear and would barely come off.i wasnt as knowledgable as i am now about gear.my skin and eyes started turning yellow which is a sign of liver problems.well when they tested my liver the counts were extremely high, so i was forced to come clean for about a year.was checked again and evrything was normal once again

I agree with HappyScrappy. I read that to permently fuck up your liver from a drinking standpoint (cirrhosis sp? ect), one needs to drink daily in an abusive matter, for around 10 years. That much punishment to your liver leads me to believe that our livers are definitely like tanks LOL.

pitbull - the statin cholesterol drugs can be toxic to your liver. you might want to ask him the reasoning behind his choice of therapy
