I sent a package to a friend in Hawaii express mail. I marked the signature waiver box so the post man would leave it as his door. I have sent him many packages express mail before. I sent it out on a Friday, and on Sunday my friend got a phone call from the post office. They wanted to make sure he was home to receive the package. When he said he wouldn't be, and that they should leave the package at the door, they refused saying they'd rather wait until he was home. My friend decided to sign for the package. It's been over a week now. No trouble has happened since then, and the package didn't seem to be tampered with or opened. So I figure everything's cool. But how the hell did they get his phone number, and WHY did they do this? Has this happened to anyone else??

i live in hawaii, and i've never heard of that shit happening. that's weird if you ask me. i don't know what to tell you, but i would think that if he was going to get busted, they would have busted him right after he signed for the package. i don't know though. ------------------

I send products to people all the time and when I send on Friday, it usually arrives on Sunday afternoon. I don't write their phone number on the express label though so they didn't call him. Did you put the guy's phone number on there? If not, it sounds very odd. -Stew |
