Well nolva seems to be waaaayyy cheaper than arimidex but I'm just curious about how much nolva would be needed to substitute for a given amount of arimidex. Been trying to get the stuff for AJC's beginner's cycle on his page.

Nolvadex and Arimidex are not the same thing. Nolvadex bindes to the estrogen receptors, while arimidex actually eliminates most of the estrogen. You still want some estrogen, so a dose of 1/4 tab eod during a beginner cycle should be fine. Although, with such a light cycle, you should be alright with nolvadex at 20mg a day. I am not going into any more depth, you can use the search.

I realize they arent the same drug. For instance Arimidex is usually only prescribed for breast cancer cases in which tamoxifin(nolvadex) therapy has proven ineffective. I understand the purpose of the question was to find out how I should incorporate nolvadex instead of arimidex because of cost. They both serve a similar purpose even if they do so in different ways. ******************************************* So I again ask for some more responses to this topic in light of not being able to search the archives on it myself. So if anyone could be so kind as to beat a tired topic a little more for my benefit I would sincerely appreciate it. As always thanks in advance. Mako
