I use to smoke, did it since i was 14 or 15. I've completely quit as of maybe 6-8 months ago, no more smoking. I never realized how it was hurting my workouts. I can't seem to drop the habit of a good chew though. I love it. | ||

any kind of tobacco will hinder your efforts to so degree...smoking is obviously the worst..dipping does have adverse effects as well though...I used to dip as well, not so much anymore... big-guy | ||

I've actually cut back on the chew though. I use to go through almost a can a day. Now a can will last me a week, I only take 1-2 pinches a day. | ||

i've heard that there is a new kind of copenhagen out called copenhagen black. has anyone tried it and is it any good? i love copenhagen with a passion and am hard pressed to believe that they could improve on the original. ------------------ | ||

I chew almost a can a day. I find that on workout days if I don't have any dips, that's right not a single little one, my workouts are much better. If I have a dip beforehand anytime within 3 hours of the workout I seem to be lazy in the gym. layed ------------------ | ||

Nicotine will reduce the flow of blood to your muscles by restricting the vessels thereby increasing the amount of time it takes to recuperate from workouts and not allowing your muscles to get fully engorged with blood during a workout. Best bet is to stay away from tobacco products. | ||

I've been trying to kick the dip for a while now.. I used to go through a can a day... well that was when it was only 2.65 a can in NC... now that I'm back in NJ, it's 5.50 a can... I stopped for like a month or so, but...... well, ya'll know the story.... nothin like a pinch when you first wake up... but I'm gonna stop soon... I bet ya'll have heard that one a million times before!! | ||

I do weighted dips, my second chest excercise. I start with include barbell presses, then dips, then hammer strength bench presses, and then finnish with cable crossovers leaning waaaay forward. |
