I just have the couple big white heads daily which leave big red marks behind, but not acne in the classic sense. I also have pretty oily skin which i hate. Would 20mg be enough for this purpose? gracias

i say just pop the fuckers and let them heal. accutane isn't for just a couple pimples, it's for moderate to serious acne. not to say the affect it would have on your liver, and if you're juicing, you know you don't need any more stress on that bad boy. here's my recomendation, works for me. get a body soap like safeguard or something and wash your face with that. don't use any soap with moistureizers. the soap is harsh and it dries your face up. if anything, go to a derma and get this stuff called AVITA. it's damn good, i have it. it's a topical version of accutane. don't trip over a couple of whiteheads my good friend ------------------

Wesdog, thanks for the help bro. A few whiteheads aren't that bad but when you have new ones to pop everyday the shit gets old. I'm just tired of having acne and figured I'd try and dry up my skin and get rid of it for good. Oily skin is also a real pain in the ass and if i could kill 2 birds then all the better. I do use regular soap, the safegaurd stuff seems to work the best. What's the deal exactly with the topical accutane? Do you use it everyday? Does it work as well as the oral stuff? thanks

yea, the topical stuff is pretty good, keeps me clear. i have a few, but nothing major. i use it once, sometimes twice a day. i shower a lot too. i lift at my school and after i'm done, i shower. when you feel your face starting to get oily, go wash it. accutane is some serious shit. i used it a few years back and it was pretty harsh. my lips have never been the same. they dried and got all chapped. the worst thing i've ever experience. going to school with a face that was peeling, the driest lips you've ever saw in your life, they even bled sometime cause they would crack. and your acne gets worse before it gets better. my face got pretty broke out before i got clear skin. i don't know if you've heard of these, but they're called buff puffs. they're pretty rough, and you put your soap on it and scrub your face. it get all the dirt off. just try to wash your face a lot. i guess that's just one thing you gotta do. it's all in how bad you want something. ------------------

quote: sorry man. there's no such thing as topical version of accutane. you're confusing two different things. avita is tretinoine and accutane is isotretoine.

Actually there is such a product that is a topical isoretinoin called Isotrex. |
