nhbking, I posted almost this same question awhile ago,,, I didn't get many responses. But even befor I posted this question I read an old thread someone posted about sitting down in a kitchen chair resting all of your weight on one glute and shooting the other glute through the gap in the chair. It sounds like it would work to me,,, but I don't know, I've never done it, maybe I'll try.

My glute is to tight to sit, and when I stand I can't hardly reach.

The biggest problem is reaching the site when you stand. I actually have to streach for 5-10 minutes so I can reach the site with my stick. If you follow sterile technique there is no reason why you couldn't remain seated during the stick.

I found the easiest way to do a glute shot is to do it lying on a bed.
Lay on your front and prop up your upper body with some cushions.
This makes it easier to reach around and jab yourself.

The first couple of weeks on my last cycle I did the shots standing up. But injecting 3cc's i found it hard to stand still for a long time so when it came time for week 4 i tried sitting down. Pulled back on the plunger and drew blood. That was the only time i drew blood into the syringe. That was the one and only time i tried it.

lay down on the bed. keep one leg str8 and bring the other leg up (bending at the knee till u have a 90 degree angle), your glute on the leg that is bent will be relaxed. Reached around and hit the upper outer quadrant.

From my experience I have found the best way to make a glute shot easy and unchallenging is to do it in the quad. It's right in front of you. No contortionistic movements or hours of streching requires to get to this spot. Stick the needle in and push the gear in!
