Chrysin and its active alkaloids are potent inhibitors of both 3 beta- and 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase enzymes. These are the enzymes that are needed to convert various pro hormones into testosterone and nortestosterone. Correct or not? ------------------ E2's Steroid Pictures Pictures of many different drugs. True, go to ast's web page. They have a report on chrysin and they state not to take it with prohormones because of that. Now saying that, it should work at high doses to minimize estrogens sides with gear. ------------------ "Catch a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime." | ||

chrysin inhibits the 3 beta- and 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase enzyme activity. These are the very enzymes that are needed to convert pro-hormones into testosterone. Inhibit these enzymes and you stop not only the conversion of exogenous --supplied from outside the body-- androstenedione from converting into testosterone, but also endogenous (supplied from within the body) hormone conversion as well. To put it bluntly, Chrysin will turn you into a female. Not what I want and certainly not good if you want to build muscle........... ------------------ |
