I have up to now mostly used a 23G 1 inch pin and have been shooting in the quad. I have more recently started shooting into the glute and am still using a 1 inch. I am going all the way in and spread the fat on glute first to make sure it goes through the skin without excess fat preventing the pin from going in all the way. How do I know if I am going deep enough into the muscle or if I am too shallow. Please do not reply with use a 1.5 inch Thanks ------------------ E2's Steroid Pictures Pictures of many different drugs. well what do you want us to say then? if you are worried about going deep enough in the glute, use a 1.5" a 1" is fine for the quads... even a 1" should be fine for the glutes too as long as like you said, "spread the fat" and make the skin tight... I personally use a 1.5 for both the glute, quad, delt, etc. hope I helped.. RJ

quote: Hey iron Game, unless you're 20% fat, forget about not injecting in the muscle. I use a 23 Gauge 1" pin, and it easily reaches the muscle..... Godspeed I'm 9% BTW...

I have always been told that you will know when you inject into the fat, and don't make it into the muscle. You will feel the diffrence. I don't know how true this is but this is what I have followed. I use the 1.5 in my glutes, and used to use 23g 1" in the quads, but have been using 25g 5/8" recently and have had no problems.

I actually have been using a 25ga 5/8" when I inject the test... I inject into smaller muscles that way, and it works... a lot less painful too, especially the way the test hurts... but for the Deca, I still use a 1/5" pin

Hmmm, if I had to hazard a guess I would say it would hurt slightly more at anything above 1ml - just my experience with sub-cat. injections such as Heparin. You might get some blistering with large amounts if you hit the fat, this happens with sub-derm.injections and very noticably with sub-derm. infusions, saying that it may have something to do with the caustic nature of the infusions I have seen. I know guys that use 1" with no problems, my preference would be for the larger 1.5".... Sorry could not be of much help. ------------------

Would I be right to assume that if you injected in fat there would be a very obvious "ball" under the skin which would be easier to feel than if it was in the muscle. I would also assume that it would take much longer to dissipate due to less blood flow. btw, been using 1 1/4" with no probs.

I'm definately NOT the expert on this .. but .. I'm using 1" in the glutes and what I've been doing is just pressing hard so the plunger makes a little indentation in the butt, instead of stopping as soon as the needle is in all way. I also don't carry a lot of fat down there anyway.

lol before anyone accusses me of being a moron I wish to clarify something. I know I am going into the muscle when injecting. What I am worried about is that I am not going deep enough and much of the oil will leak out of the muscle.

Iron_Game, as a student nurse I know the best techniques for injecting. 1 inch is fine, the usual method with a 1 and half incher is to withdraw the syringe about a half inch anyway before injecting, in case it snaps. If you are going all the way (don't recommend) and getting the full 1 inch in that is fine. Also, if possible, grip the area of skin you are about to inject and twist it (will take time to perfect), then inject. Once the needle is out, let go of the area. This closes the canal and prevents any loss of the drug. L8r bro

I don't know about "twisting" the skin... that would be more of a subcutaneous injection... you need to press down on the skin, and pull it tight between your thumb and forefinger... that will make sure you get deep into the muscle... as long as you are at least 1" beneath the skin surface, there is minimal chance for the gear to leak out... Yea I don't know about that whole twisting thing either, sounds a little to complicated for one person to do! But 1" pin should go plenty into the muscle, but 1.5" are always good! Mass Monster |
