hey bro's, this is what happened. i warmed up with a couple of sets of 135 2x12. i started to run thru my sets had 225 on the rack came down for first no problem got half way down with the 2nd press and popped two cartilage in my sternum. one on either side, hurt like a bitch and if not for two guys in there with me i don't know what would have happened. that's been two ago and i am still sore as hell, any advice or has this ever happened to anyone else,HELP PLEASE. wonder when or if i can start lifting again.

i tore 2 muscles in my quad about 3 years ago and my right leg still isnt up to speed, doctors say it probably never will be again, my advice- see a doc and maybe they can do something for you. even when and if it heals it may not be exactly the same if you dont get some kind of medical attention.

I'd say if the pain persists for more than 3-4 days to go see a doctor...
