I've just always liked training each part 2 times per week, but others swear by once a week, just curious if any others out there are like t his.... I go somewhere between 8-10 sets twice per week, with about 6 of those sets to failure, and the other 4 within 1 rep or so of failure? | ||

I like to hit one or 2 bodyparts twice a week, but I could never train legs twice a weeek. This is a good question because I always wonder if I am still overtraining the bodypart I train twice even if I use AS. hopefully we'll get a decent scientific answer | ||

Bro it's different for everybody. Personally i started working out when i was 16 and was doing every body part except for legs twice a week. Then last year i started working each part once a week. Now, since January i began doing arms, chest, and back twice a week. I've had pretty good results. I am now 19 6'4" 235lb 9%bf. I also just started my first cycle, and am looking to put on 25 lb of lean mass | ||

In my own personnal experience I have found this out. When I was hitting each muscle group once a week I built better looking muscles. They was more defined and better looking. Now that I am hitting each muscle twice a week I have gotten a lot stronger, and the muscles have grown the same as when doing them once a week but not so much defined. You can see they are large, but no where near the cutness of doing them once a week. Like I said own personnal experience, others will be different. | ||

I get much better results on a 4 day split with a day off after. I feel like one time per week per muscle group with a week in between is too much time off for me. I have not made great gains that way in the past. | ||

When I was a teen I trained every muscle 3 times a week and got great results. I found that as I got older and my training poundages went up I needed more recovery time. | ||

Off cycle, once a week, one a SERIOUS cycle I try to overtrain a little bit and go twice a week on chest back and arms. FORGET deadlifting and squating heavy 4 times in one week though! (2 for each). |
