I think that with the type of people we have on this board we could put our heads together and come up with a recipe for protien bars. those damn things are too expensive. Ive tried many combos but they end up too soft. Anyone else tried this?
If I do find a good recipe I'll post it here first!

I know what your saying bro, $2.50 for a good bar at GNC what a rip-off! If you ever stumble upon that magic recipe let us know. Good luck!

I have tried the recipe for grapenut bars, and I added a shit load of protein to them. They came out good, but the sugar is high.
Here is the recipie:
1cup light corn surup
1cup of sugar
3/4 cup of reduce fat peanut butter
4cups of grape-nuts
Microwave corn syrup, sugar and peanut butter in a large microwavealbe bowl on HIGH for 3min. Then add cereal, mix well.
Press firmly into a foil-lined pan, then let cool.
What I did was leave out the sugar, and I cut down the peanut butter to 1/2cup, and I used natural peanut butter. But while heating I added WHEY protein to the bars. They came out pretty good. It took me 2-3times to get it down good but its a hell of a lot cheaper, and you can control the amount of Kcals in each bar. ENJOY!!!
