I tried going heavy and intense, but that wasn't working for me, so I changed to high reps....basically, blasting them on each set. That seems to working great. Do a variety of movements as well.

This is my take. You use them everyday, so you need to shock them. Heavy!!!!!! Slow!!!!!! Every other day!!!! I only get results by using as much wieght for 10 to 12 slow reps.

Training calves is extremely hard, however, if you stay on top of your training splits and lift heavy, they will grow!

I agree with lawnsaver, I like to go heavy for 10 to 12 reps with a varity of movements.
