I have always heard that simplex carbs should be taken right after training with creatine if applicable.Everyone says that there is a one hour "window". Does this apply when i am trying to cut a bit. My carb intake currently is quite low and i wasnt losing weight while having carbs straight after training. Now that i have stopped the carbs straight after training my weight is coming down a bit. Is it possible that this is quite an individual thing and that by me taking in high simplex carbs after workout is all been converted to fat ? I would like to continue with the creatine but have heard and read that without the carbs to shuttle the creatine, most of it is been wasted. Any advice would be appreciated. Im not on any cycle currently, just come off a bulking cycle. I just want to lose 9 pounds or so. Thanks

If you are not getting ready for a show it will be all right mix your creatine in about 8oz of grape juice. This will spike your insulin level and help transport the creatine into your muscles. If you are getting ready for a show just use water. ------------------

I have found that once you r already loaded on creatine that having the post workout juice/creatine combo isn't so essential. You can maintain creatine stores by simply mixing it w/ an mrp. Also,u might want to try a creatine like Dimaxx or Creaject(both available from Europa Sports). They r liquid creatines w/ no extra carbs that work extremely well. ------------------

You need the carbs after your workout to replenish glycogen stores. Take the carbs after the work out or you will lose muscle, which in turn lowers your BMR and eventually this will make you gain fat unless you are on some ketogenic diet. |
