This is my first post, but I am not a newbie (just here!) I have done my research (included below). My question comes at the end. The diluent that comes with Humatrope by Lilly is good for up to two weeks. It must be stored (when mixed) in the fridge at temps between 36 and 46 degrees F. To mix, the diluent should be SLOWLY allowed to run down the SIDE of the bottle. The bottle should then be gently SWIRLED, NOT SHAKEN! If the solution is cloudy or has particles in it, it should NOT be taken. For more info, go to: http://humatrope.lilly.com/Prescribe_HTML.htm#Storage. The diluent that comes with Serostim (Serono) is just STERILE WATER FOR INJECTION, USP. The mixing process and storage temps are the same, but the solution should be used WITHIN 24 hours. To make the HGH stay for a longer period, you need to use BACTERIOSTATIC WATER FOR INJECTION, USP. Using B-water will make it last as long as the humatrope. bump...I have the Serostim and definitely am not going to be using an entire bottle of 18 IU's in 24 hrs...don't wanna waste the stuff, sounds like i need the bacteriostatic water too ??? | ||

Stays good for a week even when using the Sterile Water included in the kit ? I'd hate to waste the stuff because I REALLY am looking forward to using it !!! Would I just be better off using the bacteriostatic water to be sure ? Where do I get the stuff ? | ||

I am now hearing that bacteriostatic water may dammage the GH. I hope this is not true. Anyway, bacteriostatic water is available OTC in Canada if you can not locate it in your area. | ||

The bacteriostatic water will minimize bacteria growth as much as absolutely possible. Which is also the reason why you keep it in the fridge by the way: the cold slows down bacteria growth. This keeps the GH "good" longer. Unfortunately, federal law prevents us from buying it in the US without a script. I know, it's just water, it's so rediculous. Better to ask your gh supplier for it. so how about with the sterile water, will it last longer than the 24 hrs. stated on the package insert ? checked that website 40butpumpin posted and it said it will last 24 days!! with the bacteriostatic water, how about the sterile water ??? | ||

I don't see how anyone will know definitively what the answer to your question is. I mean the only way it is dispensed legally (and in many cases illegally as well) is with BW, to my knowledge anyway. So the only way to know this is to test the gh like daily and measure its degradation. I don't think so. I think your best bet is to simply wait and find someone that sells BW. If you can buy GH you should certainly be able to buy BW. You're better off since mixing with BW is well documented and then you know exactly what you're getting. The stuff's just too damned expensive to mess around. That's my feeling anyway. | ||

I've used a fair share of Serostim kits and the included water is FINE!!! Its a insurance company reason-The drug world is getting RICH off of AIDS and HGH.The dose is 18ius a day for AIDS patients.Saying that you will need to do the whole bottle makes all concerned LOTS OF $$$.I talked to a few pros at the O,and they all laughed about the 24 hr thing. the serostim has 1cc of sterile water to constitute it into 18 IU's. So 1/10 cc = 1.8 IU's WonX |
