I swear from what I've been reading and hearing the appeal to gear up is really attractive at times. I haven't touched the stuff yet and curse myself for not training harder when I was a teenager(24 now)...Been having pretty good success so far but the pace is so damn slow. For the past 3 months I've been busting ass just to get back to where I was as a teen.(got lazy in college) The pace has at least been steady, but lately I've been having trouble keeping up the same intensity from workout to workout. One day I might have a great workout and push my limits and then for the next 2 to 3 workouts I'm having trouble even putting up 80% of that day's work(even taking extra rest days b/w workouts). I guess I'm turning into a progress junkie, but I love the gym, and having a week's worth of bad workouts makes me feel like a pussy. Anyway just venting here with no point really...I've set some personal goals that I want to achieve natrually before I actually take the "plunge"...but FUCK ITS SO DAMN TEMPTING...anyway time to shut up now...

EOR
(end of rant)

Good decision man, I've been sort of in your situation for some time now. (I had a bad case of Mono a few yrs ago for a long time and lost a lot of my natural gains) Its been really tempting since then for me to jab myself to try to help speed up the gains. Though I still haven't yet,,, thank god I never did when I started pondering the idea at first,,, it would of been a total waste and probably could of been dangerous because of how illiterate I was back then on this subject. I'm not claming that I'm an expert in this field now, but I do have a much better understanding of AS now, I have my gear sitting waiting ready to be used, and I'm still finding myself saying "damn if I can just put up a little more natural, I'll be even better to go when I finally start the real thing" what I'm saying is that I find myself putting off the cycle to get an even bigger edge trying to reach my natural potential.

Almost always when i have a badd workout - i am dehydrated - i like my caffeine in my coffee and diet cokes. I advise you to drink a big glass of water 1 hr before you work out maybe a big apple too in case yer blood sugar is low.

I must agree with dogboy, I to find that my strength and stamina is hit when I have not drank enough H2O.

Mako
I've been all natural for 5 yrs. and i am pretty sure that i am ready to take the next step. Try everything possible to make the most of your natural days, i.e. rest pause, giant and supersets, various workout programs. I've found that the more I change my workout the better my gains will be. For ex, 8wks ultra heavy, then swith to 8wks of a lighter workout with drop sets. Change= shock to muscles.
Good luck and do TONS of research before you make any decisions.
