My paper is based on the following arguments

1. the steroid control act law of 1990 purpose is to "preserve fair competition in sports".

I think that there is really no "fair competition in sports athletes will find an edge where ever they can.

for example

1. use of supplements, creatine, andro bl etc. etc. this gives athletes an unfair advantage yet these things are legal.

2. Different situations if the goal of athletics was to be completely fair then all athletes would eat the same meals, have the same training regimine and where the same equipment.

My next argument is that the ban on steroids is ineffective.

1. 40% of prof. baseball players admitted to steroid use in a poll.

2. each year dozens of athletes are test positive.

3. If athletes want to use the drugs they will... and they do.

Anyways thats what I have so far, I have not put much time or research into it. I could use some help If anybody has any ideas.

I could really use some statistics if anybody knows of a book or a website.
