SERIOUSLY, FOR THE past year now i have been having trouble. It seems as though no matter what time of the day or actions that happen during that day. My body parts fall asleep. example. Today- when I woke up My left arm was asleep and stayed that way for about 4 hours. Running is out of the question as well My legs feel Like they are about 20lbs heavier when I go for a jog. So cardio has been out for a while. still lean though "9%BF" last night i actually passed out in the shower while, shall we say extra curicular activities with the girlfreind. Never has this happened to me ever. I fucking passed out she couldn't pick me up to heavy and she only weighs 120lbs. She turned off the water and dried me. I guess I woke up a minute later or so. "I guess". Bad chest pains at times Allmost like Heartburn But a little worst. Also you might have been able to tell but I hate doctors allthought I will be one sometime in the near future. WTF???? I hate the Doctor. But I have to go it is going to far. I had to stop playing my sport that is my business now and had to hire somebody to cover my time slots. So I am lossing money, Parts of my body are falling asleep at random, And missed a Gigantic Mid-Term because I literally couldn't move without extreme pain in my chest....... so it might be the end of me.... Does anybody have any ideas?? ------------------

Well i live a very active lifestyle compared to most. average day -wake up 6am. hit the GYM, goto Business set up the work day for the ignorant emply...then goto class for till about 3pm. Then head off to train 2 people at another gym. After that around 5 or so. I head off to go rock climbing for a couple hours. 7:30 or so I then head off to work again and balance the mula Then I allmost allways take my girl out to dinner. or rent a movie or something then around 12-1 I head home to do homework and study for the next day. meanwhile I am on the boards until 4am or so. From there things just take course for the week. somedays i get 12 hours of sleep other I get a good 2 hours and take a "POWER NAP" during the day for about 6 hours if time permits Right now I am at 225 with about 9%bf kinda high since thats not where I want to be. I was on some Creatine"omna" The new Kind and D] for a while but that didn't seem to make a difference. also i eat all day long about 7 meals/day at least. Oh yea Blood pressure is below normal but then again it allways was. Blood Oxygen is around 99% all day. ------------------

Power naps are broken sleep, which mean that your body may not be reaching the deeper REM phaze of sleep. This is essential on a regular basis for the body to be fully rested in order to get full recuperation. You'll be producing less natural growth hormones etc. I also didn't know you did so much other stuff with the rock climbing and stuff. I even thought you were kidding when you said how much you do. Then again my life is pretty hectic - Full time job, Teaching and running my clubs, organising events at weekends etc, children, g/f, eating all the time and my own training! Barely leaves enough time to take a sh*t does it! Seriously Jay, I think it is exhaustion, it may just be all catching up on you. It is a hard decision to make when you are involved in so many different things but something may have to go, or you will!!! Use your freinds and family as support systems for you. Make them feel special and involved and be grateful to them and they will help you. Try and get other people to lessen the load. My g/f helps me with my preparation of food, paperwork with the clubs etc. I always appreciate it and it gives me the time to try and get a little more sleep at the end of the day. Or maybe you should consider a break. Going away from it all for a couple of weeks could recharge your batteries and make you come bouncing back, ten times stronger.

WOW!!!! You know how it feels then. Time for a break and perhaps a way to lessen the load. I also coach a swim team and help with soccer practices when I have time.LOL ohwell I will see the quack soon and see what he has to say. strengthmonster, Thanks!!! time to get away and mabye hire a new person and just sit back for a while. I know this doesn't make sense now since its actually time for bed.LOL But I will respond later with a half way intelligent response. Thanks alot to all of you.

Well, Jay, even though your in shape, that doesn't mean their isn't anything wrong. I had an uncle, who was in great shape, and at 35 he died of a heart attack, and he had 75% blockage. It was genitic. You might want to go get a stress test done. Good luck, and keep us updated.

Well even the mighty shall fall. Just kidding, Ihad something similar -- getting numb all the time waking up with little or no feeling in my arms and legs. One day at work I got a sharp pain in the chest and saw stars (like the ones you see when you are pushing the shit out of a heavy fucking weight. Anyway I blew it off, but I was really fucked and could not walk up the stairs without getting tired and out of breath. Two days later it happened again so I went to the doc. Well holy revlations my ecg was a bit erratic but not too bad. My cholesterol was another story - 12.5mmol/l normal is between 4-5mmol/l. The doc said if I carried on I would be dead by 30 (I am 25)needless to say it was a scare. I was on a special diet etc. np gear or any training, lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks. Boy was I a skinny mother. To cut it all short I went on medication , the cholesterol came down and now I feel great and I am a bumpy mother again.

BigJay, it all sounds (I'm suspecting) like u might have bad blood circulation. Did u check your blood cholestrol, triglyceride/lipid levels with the doctor? Diet plays an important part. Genes too. I suggest that u go for a chinese sinseh and check your pulse. He/she should be able to tell u wat is wrong. U might need a few rounds of acupuncture to improve the criculation. You might want to cool down your activities and maybe take up qigong. Qigong helps blood circulation tremendously and channel your "qi" to areas of your body that is numb. A qigong master can help you in this.

Jay, Get your blood work done like the other bros said I just went through some of the same things and they done blood work and found out that my cholesterol is high and my liver enzymes are also high, and also ask them to do a thyroid test (TSH) thyroid can do some of the same things also especially the heavy legs and if the thyroid is really off it can cause numbness in the extremities,I know because my thyroid is bad too. GO GET CHECKED!!!

BIGJAY this is how my leg was feeling for a while before having to be rushed off to the hospital cause i couldnt walk one night coming in...it was numb-but painfully cramped and i ended up having 5 surgeries in a 12 day hospital visit from ACUTE COMPARTMENT SYNDROME.......but if yours isnt cramping to bad then it sounds like a heart attack waiting or circulation problems as someone mentioned... ------------------

You are obviously run down... Do you smoke? Hoochie or Cigga's? That could explain some circ probs. With respect to quacks, why don't you visit a reputable naturopath. I have had a weight-gain problem for some years and have had several doctors tell me that nothing is wrong. I saw a naturopath who identified a malabsorption problem. I now supp my diet with VIT B12 and have put on 3kg in 2 weeks. They are good.

it sounds like you may have symptoms of an underlying cardiac problem, or your coronary arteries may be clogged... when there is a lack of oxygen to the heart muscle(or any other muscle for that), it gets fatigued real easy, and doesn't work well... get a THOROUGH physcial exam, and ask your Doc if he'll consider doing a "stress-echocardiogram" and make sure you get plenty of electrolytes in ya...especially before you workout.... ANY workout...

RJNCMEDIC.....I like yer advice and style Bro, and the blood sugar testers are good for daily checks, you actually need to possibly see a endocrinologist to look at thyroid, liver or kidney prob's.....after thinking it over, I tend to agree with the MEDIC, but I lean more toward stress brought on by lack of rest Bro....Keep us updated either way.... BZR

yeah Bruzer, the more I thought about it afterwards, it could be blood sugar problems.. but if it is, they usually don't get better right away without intervention such as drinking OJ, or eating other simple carbs with sugars... either way, it's a good idea to get some lab work done, and some more tests.... let us know how ya make out...
