Guys. Paxil, Zoloft, Prozac... Whats the skinny on these meds? 1)are they hard to get from a doc (like ADHD meds are) 2) what about mexico? i've seen prozac. What about the other two? I know the prices change from day to day in mexico, but what is the range for these?     | ||

Go to the Doc and tell him you've been feeling really depressed for a while, he'll be falling all over himself to write you a script. If it was something that would really do you some good, like gh, test, arimidex, etc. then he'll look at you like you've got an eye in the middle of your forehead. My question to you is: why would you want that shit anyway? Man if you're really depressed there's better, more natural stuff out there. Search the net or email me. | ||

Anti-depressants can really mess you up, and treat the the symptoms not the cause, which will never really solve the problem. First rather look into possible causes ie hormonal imbalances(low - low normal test ; high normal - high cortisol) ;underactive thyroid ; hypoglycemia etc. to be on the safe side get the whole spectrum analysed. Most doctors don even bother whith these checks , which is why most people dont fully recover from depression . So gather as much info as you can on the causes of depression and then call the shots at the doctors office | ||

I take paxil and it helps me a lot, it's the shit. Some people have chemical imbalances in the brain and have to even it out. Paxil also helps a lot with anxiety. | ||

in reference to the post before last , ofcourse there is a chemical imbalance in the brain which causes depression but that is a symptom of an underlying cause . ie unless you havent always suffered from depression but do now , something has gone awry in the body and is now triggering the depression which needs to be corrected to solve the problem. Anti-depressant meds treat the symptoms not the cause .Always treat the CAUSE | ||

I agree with BIGBALLS and BIGANDY. If you did have a "chemical imbalance" do you think Efexor, Prozac, Paxil will "balance" you? No way, that junk will only put you in some altered state of mind so you don't give a shit anymore. Sorry, this subject really touches a nerve with me. There's better ways in my opinion. Maybe if you were a certified scitzo, or suicidal but not for mild depression...no way. | ||

I guess we are all fxxxxd up! It is official. I take Paxil and it helps with depression and anxiety. It was definitely one of the easiest things to get from a doc ever. Just don't say you want to hurt anyone or yourself. | ||

FUCK PAXIL! I started taking it and I thought it was going to make me go crazy.. I had the sweats, mood swings, blurred vision, upset stomach.. and I only took it for the better part of 3 weeks! People have HORRIBLE times coming off that shit.. do a search for Paxil on the net, there are web-sites that hundreds of users have visited to sign a petition again the manufacture because the side effects when coming off are so severe! D-O Y-O-U-R R-E-S-E-A-R-C-H. Besides, who the hell wants to be happy all the time do to some pill they are popping every morning anyway? Just my 2 cents. Gman | ||

Tricyclics WORK! And they've been around a long time. They dont elevate the mood, they effectively block anxiety and depression. They take some time for them to work but when they do, you feel normal again. They are some of the most studied and have been used by patients for long term treatment of theses disorders and panic disorder. Been there. MZ | ||

I was on Paxil and some other shit after my divorce. It helped for a little bit, but I kept getting head aches for no reason. What ever your going through, I feel your pain. My divorce is still killing me every day. Insted of Paxil and all that shit, I just hit the gym real hard and I feel better. ------------------ | ||

I'm on zoloft right now, I think it is helping a little. It was very easy to get. I'm still depressed buy I don't feel as hopeless as I used too. | ||

When I was depressed after quiting nubain and going thru a surgry for an abcess on my ass the docs tried to get me on paxcil...I just worked thru the depression...took time but man I am glad today that I didnt cover up the problems and save them for later instead I look better and I train better...just my 2 cents..later | ||
