Ive been having this confusion lately.
Since I workout at 4:30pm, and I am cutting, and cutting requires (at least in my diet) to progressively lower carb intake, should I keep it low for the post workout meal or up the carbs (100g+ as Valdez says?)

Additionally I have heard that you should consume SIMPLE carbs post workout.
What would that be? A friggin banana>?
With sugar won't it be even harder to shed fat?!

Should me post workout meal be particularly bigger/smaller than anything?
I know to avoid fat like the plague post workout (thanks to Valdez's advice).

Am I doing something wrong here? Help me out
THanks, blood

You should consume ample simple carbs following your workout regardless of dieting down or not. The muscles need the glycogen to begin healing and to allow the protein you consume to do its job of repair. At this time there is no way they will be stored as fat...only glycogen which will fill the muscles up and give them a better fuller appearance. This is the time to get your carbs 100+ grams. If you don't your muscles will continue to break down and will never heal.

Consuming fructose (ie in the form of Fruit ect) is a bad idea b/c fructose will want to store in the liver as glycogen and not in the muscle. Consume something with dextrose and also with a very soluble whey portein that is easy to digest/assimilate.
carbs:100 grams
protein: 60 grams
plus add some alpha lipoic acid 100-200 mgs

sorry for the ignorance, but could someone give me examples as to what contains dextrose?

And I have a drawback:
Im eating ONLY whole foods, because supplements here are 10x the price, and even if I import from the US., customs will charge it like 25% of price! NOT WORTH IT.

Can some one help me out?
This is very serious to me as I feel this might hinder my gains!
Peace
