if i am currently taking 6iu of slin after a workout with about 55g of carbs. would it be better to slowly creep up with my slin dose until i can safely go no higher. or would it be better to back off my carb dose until I can back off no more and still be safe? I do not want any more fat gain. Since i will consume no more carbs with the first option I am guessing that it would not cause any more fat gain and only promote more muscle. | ||

Are you checking your blood sugar reg? Be carefull messing with insulin, low blood sugar can cause death. If at all you should stay under 5 units at best. Well there's my two cents bro.. Later, | ||

I'm sure you already know this but I will say it anyway..you gotta be careful with that shit...a close friend of mine messed with humulin and two weeks later he was in a coma... didnt come out of it for 6 months just watch yourself...LoL [This message has been edited by bigpimp (edited March 10, 2001).] | ||

i dont know about 5 ius. i have gone all the way up to 2 15 iu shots a day, morning night. know when to eat your sugars and restrict your fat intake. insulin is good as an anti catoblic also to increase muscle pump. i went down to a one 15 iu shot after workout. stacked with gh 6 iu day,fina 75mg.eod 1000 mgs. of durateston. | ||

Insulin is not all that scary, as you can tell from the replies of those who have really used it. You just need some common sense, and keep a glucose tube on hand. You need to pyramid it to find your correct level. 5iu is a good place to start, and then gradually work up till you get that spike. My best results (humulin-r)were at 10 iu am and after lifting. Timing of carbs and the first meal are important. See Monster's insulin pimer in the archives. |
