I sarted lifting when i was 18, i was 5'10 and weighed 150 lbs at the time. I know this is nothing, but i was at 170 before i got food poisoning and strep with in a 2 month period. I didn't gain much weigh back after i got better. Anyway, I sarted going to the gym 15 months ago. I am now 19 and a sophmore in college. I am 6' and weigh 190 lbs at 10-12% body fat. I have not juiced, and i gained 40lbs in this time. My bench went from 155x3 to 245x4. Not to shaby.

At 17 yrs old natural, I weighed 138 and benched 275. It is all in the genetics. Right now I weigh 175 and just benched 315 for 6 about 2 hours ago. I know competitors that weigh 50lbs more than me that dont bench as much as I. Personally I would rather have the muscle mass.

Then stop maxing out all the time, work at 60 - 70% your one rep max on all sets for as many reps as you can get & eat right and you'll get the mass. Bottom line stop worrying about the he-man poundages and start shaping your body.

Well, comparing bench weights is futile at best. Anything from tendon alignment, shoulder width, arm length, rib cage size, hid strength, lat strength, and your genetically given angle of pull that your muscles have a just a few of the variables to throw in.

However, I think they are right, get a little stronger, a little older, then kick some ass.
