Huck is right. Cholesterol itself is the most abundant steroid within the body, but itserves as a raw material for other steroids such as sex steroids and adrenocorticoid hormones and bile salts. The aliphatic side chain on the D ring of cholesterol is shortened by the removal of a six-carbon unit, and the secondary alcohol group on c-3 is oxidized to a ketone. The resulting molecule, progesterone, serves as the starting compound for both the sex hormones and the adrenocorticoid hormones. Testosterone is synthesized in the testes from cholesterol. Those of you that were around a few months ago would know that this was one of the questions on E2's and everyones Test. Unfortunately, the damn thing was lossed. Also, on a side note, prepare to be flamed. I could have easily said "I get mine from Mexico", or Given you the process of how the hormone estrogen is synthesized, etc. This question is too broad. Also, you have to account for the oil and steroid itself when in the oil/water solution and binders in the pills. Anyway, I don't know if this answered your question. | ||

Man, I am leaving and NOT coming back. I went and ran out and got two big sacks of Mexican Sarsaparilla Root to go ahead and make my own gear. Then I read that it is used for this: Traditional use internally for skin diseases, liver disorders, venereal disease, herpes, and vaginal discharge. You fukers have duped me for the LAST time! | ||
